Picked a Vapor Speed up on eBay this morning for under $240. I don't usually buy drivers the year they come bout, but I was so impressed with the performance in the Golfsmith simulator.

I didn't have a problem with the stock Fubuki shaft (or the stock Kuro Kage in the Covert 2.0), so we'll have to see with this one. I have a Fujikura Pro 63 in my Covert 2.0 Black at the moment and I can always switch it out.

They got it right with the headcover.

So try it with a shaft that has the correct torque and CPM's and see how it works. I agree with you that Nike is lacking in shaft options that are no to little upcharge. Especially when a stock stiff is garbage quality.

Alright for someone who swings at 125 mph with a boatload of spin my main concern is the lowest spinning/launching head. I'm getting some very conflicted messages here. Is the Pro or the Flex the lowest launching/spinning head? Ive looked at both and the heads on both are very compact, I wish I could get out and hit them but thats not quite an option for me right now.

Demo FLEX with d+ whiteboard 70x .....also the FLEX is 1.5* open @ neutral. ....pro and speed are 1* open

Don't even bother with the Blueboard, head right to the Whiteboard and you'll be in love. Spin climbed at times (1-2 degree AoA so not awful spin) but the whiteboard felt a lot better. Off center hits still carried miles. No extra upcharge on the Whiteboard either, and it's the real deal, no made for finally.

I am amazed at the spin some of you are getting, my SS is 105-108, and was averaging 2400 rpms with the S+ 60 stiff. Has to be AoA, or a much more aggressive transition.

Aldila Tour Green 65 stiff
OBAN Gold 65 o4 flex
Speeder 661 stiff

KK TiNi 60 X

[*]stock S+ honestly isn't terrible, but does play soft to flex IMO. Go up a flex if you want this shaft.
[*]Tour Green feels AWESOME, but spun more than the S+ for me and as a result was the shortest distance wise
[*]OBAN Gold - not a fan. Just felt boardy and un-responsive. Plus its a $400+ uncharge, so ya ... it was out quick.
[*]Speeder 661 - couldn't get it to launch high enough for me, only around 10-11*. Feel is good, tip felt soft.
[*]Speeder 757 - this was an x flex shaft, so between the added weight and X, it was low and short. Not for me.

Im fighting a tear in my lower ab from a hockey injury, but it felt good today (not yesterday). Yesterday I could barely get the club 100mph, today I was in my norm in the 107 range and quite a few over 110mph.
This driver is LAZER BEAMS straight for me. I hit it side by side my newly acquired BBa 815 w Speeder 665 and it wasn't even close.

So I have returned the BBa but havent ordered the Pro just yet
I got some great numbers w the KK TiNi, spin around the 2400-2600 on avge., misses closer to 3000
I think it is directly related to my AoA tho and not the head or shaft, as this is a common theme for me
My "ideal numbers" are 2300-2500 spin and around 14* launch. I need to play for carry, as its wet here a lot. But also windy, so need to make sure the spin is low enough it doesn't balloon when its really breezy.
SO im not far off and some of my longest ones were in that "ideal range" and just SO FREAKING STRAIGHT

This head is really forgiving. I hit one that I thought FOR SURE would be hooking left hard....it was high, slight draw and freaking long.
I found myself being able to centre it more than the BBa, which I was always hitting just outside middle, high toe.

Im on the fence ..... I think Im sold on the head, just not on shaft and flex
Part of me wants to demo the D+ 60 S or X as well, but I can't really argue the results of the KK TiNi. And it may never be possible to demo the D+ here.
I don't think it would be wise of me to order the X, as I never play X and anytime I have it ends up being too much shaft for me
So maybe id get the stiff and tip it an inch

I need to make a decision by the weekend tho, as I mentioned before, Golf Town is having a sale and you get $75 off the driver until Sunday.

no I know a 70's gram shaft isn't for me
as I mentioned above, I can't try the D+ w/out blind ordering it .... just not sure I want to do that

This is what is so damned maddening for me regarding this driver. Two very well known retailers have told me twice each the D+ is a $63-70 upcharge but others here have confirmed with Nike that the shaft has no upcharge. Just drives you nuts at times.

Ive hit the 70g Stiff in the 915, but not a 60


As i think about this more, I may just do the KK TiNi X and be done w it ....
I've done the same thing w other drivers in the past ... try something on the monitor and it works
then order something else and no driver has ever lasted the season

I don't find the KK hard to load at all, quote the opposite
maybe i might find a few fwy's this year if i buy what I actually tested ....

How do you like that combo? I have the Fuji Pro Tour Spec 6.3X on order but wanted to try the AD shaft but was not sure to go with DI or the BB shaft.

Best shaft ever for me, I like it (for my swing) and when I get a good hit, I usually get good roll with it.

Don't like the stock Diamana. Probably will sell it.
