You guys really have it out for Stacy. I saw her acknowledging the applause yesterday and her club "throwing" is more like casual tossing.

I'll take her fire over some of the robotic women on the LPGA tour.

Blame me, not everyone else. I have immense respect for her talent. She swept the top 3 results based awards for the first time as an American since Betsy King, many moons ago. You can't get to that point without being amazingly good.

I'll also stand by the comments. 99% of the LPGA players always acknowledge the fans who spent their money to support the LPGA. The others earn nicknames for their approach. And it's not just me...or the other posters.

I used to live in Toronto and now in Van City....what do you expect with these two loser teams....the sad thing....tickets are not cheap in either city....I've never said we Canucks are smart.....and I HATE the Habs.

It was a good day for me....Ko won....Seahawks won and my Hamilton Ticats advanced and are coming to Van City next week for the Grey Cup.
BUT
I think the Ticats are going to get slaughtered by the Stamps....so it will be a boring game for me...so I'm debating about attending.

There are 6500 unsold tickets for our Igloo Super Bowl....though I think I can get some scalped tickets pretty cheap next Sunday.
My best friend from Hamilton who lives here too and a good friend from our golf league is from Calgary might want to attend.
If it's a lopsided game....it will be painful for me.....listening to the guy from Calgary being an obnoxious fanboy in my face and the other guy is so moody when the Ticats play poorly...he makes SNaP look like Miss Congeniality.

Yeah, I always think when I see those shenanigans...wouldn't that be the [i]last [/i]thing a winner would want to go through?

I wouldn't say its disrespectful, but I'd say it's not something that should become a tradition. At this point it's just old and inconvenient.

After all, the head coach doesn't get the Gatorade shower after [i]every [/i]game the team wins.

The Librarian has made all the media headlines here. First up on the news tonight on our main TV stations. Along with other records she has now set the record for the most official money won by a rookie at $2,089,033. While she did not win the official money list she pockets $549,994.00 more than SNaP who won. Thought she would now be putting the clubs away and relax.. no she is heading back here late this week and is playing in a charity event at Takapuna Golf Club in Auckland this Sunday.
While it's all congratulations to Lyds it was good that Dora and Ciganda could have no complaints as they had every chance to win before she took out the tournament.

Wie, Lexi, Lydia, Lewis, Inbee and a nice supporting cast. 3 years ago we really didn't have this kind of compelling talent.

I've been following Lydia the last couple years and it's been cool watching her grow in stature.

Depends how many par 5's which ofc for scratch males are guaranteed birdies with all that tremendous advantage men have. As we know women can't make birdies as making birdies requires 270+ carry off the tee(*).

Stacy was definitely on better behavior this year, more SNaP that Ms. Pouty. A little fire in the belly, and a tossed club or two isn't bad, but there's a fine line. I'm fairly certain she'll never become Ms. Happy-go-lucky out there, but a smile for the fans when things aren't going her way would go a long way towards endearing her to the masses.

Except that in this case it pretty much was the Superbowl. A season ending win with a $1 million bonus. If that's not worthy of a drenching, then nothing is. At least they waited until she acknowledged Ciganda.

 

Had the tournament not needed 4 extra holes, I imagine she may have had time for a quick shower. However, with daylight running out, the awards and press conference couldn't wait I guess.

 

Her reaction after the drenching wins her my Homer Simpson award for the week.
