lol courses are banning specific shoe models?

 

If they haven't they should, talking about just that model. Played with an overweight guy who had just picked those up when they came out and I've never seen such bad damage to the greens.

It's true that they destroy the level surface of greens. I bought 3 pair of these when they went on clearance at TGW middle of last year. They run really really narrow so as a result were not comfortable, and also caused those horrible dents in the greens. Needless to say I got rid of them and paid the extra to go back to Nike Lunar Control.

I love my adizero ones......but yes even they leave impressions on greens.

 

On another note......GD this site.....just picked up some more clothes I didn't need after the TGW Nike sale that I also didn't need!

those adizero shoes are the ones that are banned from most courses aren't they?

they do a monster job chewing up greens, I would pass on them. I think it was both the 2013 and 2014 models that give the greens problems..

Haha yes I feel this picture is always thrown around and it looks more like ball marks than anything. I have these shoes and have noticed imprints occassionally when it's soft but nothing this bad haha

Adizeros are rubbish. And they are tougher on most greens but it's been a bit exaggerated on this site. I'm a fairly big dude and these leave a little more of an impression at times than most shoes but not to the levels talked about around here. But I will add in in the northeast so maybe it depends on the type of grass on the greens. Regardless I'd still stay away just because of the crap quality. And if you get em you better have a narrow foot.

 

They've been in the 30 dollar range for over a year now and it seems there are still quite a few available. I think that speaks volumes.

In theory, they were great shoes. Super light and great spike exposure for traction. But man they just looked too futuristic and not comfy. Looked more for soccer than golf.

Didn't take it as one, just explaining why someone created it. There wasn't anything special about the person creating it, just that they thought it would be better to have all the deals in one thread. Maybe they used "official" so people knew that everyone was posting in that thread.

 

Sometimes you'll see it in other subforums too, just a good way to consolidate stuff into one thread.

I have one as well, and am very happy with it. Use it on the course, I take outside to the deck while I'm grilling, out to the garage, around the house, etc.

 

$35 is a steal, bought one just to have an extra. The wife might want it for her bag.
