Callaway Mack Daddy PM Grind Wedges

I will demo the 58 and keep an open mind. I loved the original PM grind. The new one is so different. Let's see if the short game genius is on to something by bringing back the ping eye 2.

I like the idea behind of the PM grind. It would produce great results on open shots. I look forward to try a 60º but it would have to compete with my fantastic 60º Toe Sweep to find a place in my bag.

Strip the paintfill lay protective tape in the middle of the face leaving a half inch exposed on the edges of the face.

Dunk the club in caswell (or the apprpriate acid) and watch the outside and back darken to produce a more traditional allignment aid in the middle of the face that has grooves outside the sweet spot. Boom.

Nothing but an illusion most likely. I highly doubt there is any offset on his wedges. The tour grind, which I assume this one starts will, has a pretty straight line leading edge.

When Phil was with Titleist I remember seeing a Vokey ad for his tour builds, it stated (handwritten in sharpie on a wedge) that Phil liked additional offset. I don't remember how much, but it was a good bit more than the other players' builds.

Those in hand pics do look like there's some offset... Its basically an Eye 2 with grooves everywhere and no cavity...

Check the pictures on the first page, it is just the way the grind is on the leading edge near the hosel.

The most forward part of the leading edge is pretty much inline with the front of the hosel thats right. But the transition from hosel to face is curved, offset, ugly, whatever.

I'll still try it though, seems like a great concept, I do like to flop it out of rough as well and this might be great for this shot

amazing what you can get your company to do just to get a competitors product out of the bag. First the SLDR, now the eye2.. What a hideous looking mess that is.. Surprised that face is legal.. Looks like something out of the old Wilson era with hickory shafts...what next holes/dots instead of grooves..

Makes sense .... draft off the popularity of the Eye 2 wedges, while adding that Phil's contribution to the Cally model will make it even better!

They didn't let anyone hit the wedge. There were only two (a lefty and righty) in the main area.

Except for the cavity Pep. The best part about it is that you could sole it and it was dead flat. The high toe will be an adjustment, but the thing looks a bit larger than a normal wedge, to me anyway. That should bring some confidence into a lot of folks wedge games.
