Another 18 on the red Sunday (84 total now). But I'm sure at this point everyone is sick about hearing about it, so maybe a new ball tomorrow.

With having 84 holes on the red, it really has stood up well durability wise, well done Snell.

I had a miscalculation. I think it's actually 90 holes now. The picture is probably not 100% accurate, the ball in hand doesn't look quite as good as the picture. But not bad at all. If somebody handed me the actual ball and asked me how much it had been used I would probably guess a couple of rounds. Its very much intact, just that new ball "sheen" is gone.

probably it is your usage is far beyond Dean's expectation.

at my club (hilly, tight and water), you could easily lose a ball and come out with handful. In such condition, playing a round with the same ball is quite a challenge.

Yeah, it helps a bunch with the conditions right now. The rough isn't grown up. And I've actually been hitting the ball fairly well to start the season so the ponds and OB haven't been in play much. When I break out a new ball I'll probably lose it on the first hole!

good to hear that you are managing deadsolid shank well. Good luck with long-term test.

Ok. Here they are. Red is on the right. You can see the scuff on the black one.

Now I feel like I have to keep going. Poor me,. Might be a while though before the next round. Iffy weather here combined with travel the next two weekends.

They are really good, durable balls.

Looks like the left one has some road rash on it?

yeah that's what I meant. It had that look that doesn't come from a wedge.

Yep, it's unlikely that I'll ever really chew up a ball with a wedge. I'm ashamed to admit that the grooves on my wedges are usually full of dirt‍♂️ Maybe that has something to do with me not being a spin player!

yikes.. well i guess congrats on not losing the ball after 90 holes.. (i think, haha).. happy for you but secretly wishing nobody else can do this, or I will be out of business...haha... will have to start selling in one ball packs...but in all seriousness, glad it held up.. the urethane covers are very durable... typically, when golf balls are hit that many times, espcially with a lot of drivers, you will see some balls crack over time.. they are made to pass random location driver hits of over 100 drivers at higher ball speeds... I have seen many times over the years when a player orients the ball in the same spot, and hits drivers over and over (especially in cages or simulators) the balls will have a tendency to crack earlier than 100 hits...

That is too funny! But like I said, the rest of the sleeve will probably last two holes!

I typically won't play a ball much more than one or two rounds. Now it's become kind of a challenge to see how far it will go.

But I really am impessed for how good the condition still is after that many holes. And performance hasn't seemed to suffer at all either.

Played Black for 9 holes yesterday and not sure if I am longer than the Tour B or RZN Platinum but it definitely isn't shorter and I can say the greenside is higher than Tour B by a mile

I suppose you meant "greenside" by "greenside spin."

ah yes I did, I got a phone call toward the end of my thought haha

Thank God, it is not greenside roll. LOL

Played a round with the MTB Red today, this is my 3rd round playing with the MTB Red (not same ball - but only needed one ball today!).

Was on the windy side today, but warm - ~70 degrees.

Red continues to impress me, and honestly - I'm not drinking the Kool-Aide...as I was ready to throw in the towel on them after my first round.

I am choosing my clubs better with the reds as I can go after the flag without worrying about going long due to rollout. Didn't spin any back significantly today, mostly it stopped in its tracks or rolled out a bit, depending on my strike.

The big surprise today was distance. I play this course alot and on 3 holes I was longer today than I have been in a long, long time. One hole I was further than I had ever been - ever. MTB Red is no slouch on the distance front!

Putting...I continue to enjoy it. I'd say it is now my favorite putting ball. I thought I preferred the Chrome Soft, but after a few rounds - I can say that I enjoy the feel of the Red more....more predictable whereas the Chrome jumps off the face pretty fast.

I have a dozen MTB Black coming next week...interested to compare the two.

Honestly, I'd be more than fine gaming the MTB Red...but let's see.

I am really impressed.

My advice is to give any new ball an honest chance. You cannot do a good assessment with just a few holes or one or two balls.
