SNELL GOLF BALLS??? anyone???

I've used the MTB Prime for a few rounds (saving the rest for better weather) and have had zero issues with durability.  I'm fairly certain I got the last batch that was made.

 

The only thing that hit the balls besides my clubs were trees and they handled them just fine.

I think I'll make it until the new ball gets here but it's going to be close!  Really looking forward to the new product.

Dean, I'm hoping, with all do respect, that you unveil the next generation of golf ball sooner than later. It's a tough market. Snell will hopefully make it better for the DTC croud.

I don't know if I agree with that...the Snell Black was really good the way it was.  It already was fairly soft, I think if you make it softer you make it more of a high handicapper ball, and I think the Get Sum is kind of like that?    I know everyone is different though.  The Black was a great ball.  It was so good in the wind.

yeah, its all subjective, i prefer a soft ball

Any comparison to the Vice Pro?  Which model is similar?  Recently have committed to the pro lol but i can always be swayed.  Started putting Pro in play and I'd say last 3 or 4 rounds I've only lost maybe 1 or 2.  Wanted the kirklands to win but just not as consistent off the tee with them.

The MTB Prime would have compared well to the Pro but you literally can't buy it because they're about to switch to all-new product which comes out in like 2 weeks.  The MTB Prime X, which you can still buy, is much firmer than the Pro.

 

I would bet a lot of money that they'll have an all-new model that compares well to the Vice Pro so check back but nobody actually knows other than Dean.

April 22nd will be the official launch date.    again, thanks for the continued feedback we get on this forum.   We have spent the last 9 months addressing some of the key issues that some players were having, and created a whole new lineup that includes products for a wider range of players... l

Thanks for providing this info! Two questions:

 

1. Are you launching yellow balls at the same time?

2. Will the new balls hit the European store (https://www.snellgolf.uk/) around the same time including yellow balls?

I personally did not like the Prime balls for my game, but will definitely try whatever new ball you come out with.  Even if you just release the Black again (hint hint)

Thanks to all who entered the contest.  The marketing team is reviewing all the entries.  We had so many entries over all the social sites and website.   Last I had heard is that there are over 250 correct picks so far, and they are still reviewing.    They will most likely use a random number generator to randomly pick the winners.   I would think these will be out by mid week.    New balls coming soon.... let it develop..

I'm looking so much forward to new balls. I'm based in Europe, so I have a couple of questions for you:

 

Will the new balls hit the European store (https://www.snellgolf.uk/) around the same time as the US store? And will yellow balls be part of the initial offering?

I still have probably 4-5 dozen of the original MTB black golf balls that I bought years ago, about the time we started having kids. Fast forward to 2024 and I’m getting to play a lot more because I take my boys with me about 80% of the time. Anyways, the ball pictured below got me through 47 holes (pictured at 45 holes) before I finally donated it to the woods. 

 

I’m hoping the new generation gives us something close to this in durability and performance!

thats a crazy amount of holes im jealous. I cant get any ball to still look that good after 5-6 holes, my 58 degree full swing loves to eat covers off them. i also cant imagine not losing a ball for 47 holes (golfing for 10 months means i go through atleast 3 per round)

Never played a Snell ball before. Are the Prime X at least better than a Kirkland ball? I usually play Maxfli balls, but I wouldn’t mind saving some money if the performance drop off isn’t that extreme.
