Look forward to the new ball

I was one of the customers that had a big issue with the durability of the Prime and Prime X

Absolutely loved the Snell Black

Will be back to try the new one once again

Although I didn't have any durability issues with the new batch of balls I'm looking forward to the new product!  Hopefully it comes in yellow!

I hit the ball - it went in the hole!  haha

 

Par 3 at my local course, short but lots of undulation on the green.  Plays between 120-130, anything catching the from 1/4 of the green will pull down off the green.

 

I actually had my first hole in one on this hole exactly 4 months prior with the blue pin position.

This one was white pin position.

 

Well struck shot, hit pin high and caught the slope pulling it right about 6 feet until it disappeared. (very similar shot shape to my first hole in one)

 

Was paired with some randoms so I bought them some beers - finished round at 3pm - no one was in the clubhouse so I went home and told my wife who was more interested in shopping sales.

exciting to hear that the process continues. I'll keep giving them a shot, I have faith that the durability will get worked out. I'm by no means a fast swing speed aggressive golfer, so any time I can rip a cover up in less than a round, i'm pretty shocked. i don't expect to keep a ball more than a full round or two in general (assuming I don't lose it anyway) but it's hard for me to commit to a mid-price tier ball and shred them so easily. This is why I moved away from Vice, I liked the ball but they got shredded so fast.

Bought 5 dozen MTB X from Snell’s website last night for $115 shipped. 
 

Probably not going to do a lot better than that price these days for new balls, it seems. I’ll lose them before they’re too beat up so it should work out great for me!

Haven't seen any updates lately on the new 2024 releases but hopefully something gets released in the near future.  Hopefully we don't have to wait until April/ May as that would influence what I play during the year and I don't really want to switch to the 'name' $55 per dozen balls.  Playing the Snell balls has always produced similar results at an affordable price. Let's hope we get some information on new releases from Dean in the near future.

I bought a dozen of the MTB Prime during their holiday sale. So far no durability concerns.  Even smacked one dead center into a tree off the tee with driver and the cover took it like a champ. I thought for sure it was going to leave a gnarly scuff, but to my surprise all that was there was a smudge that I was able to wipe/rub right off and it looked good as new

Vice balls are now extremely durable especially the Pro and Pro Plus.  With that being said, I still support Snell/Dean even though the Prime X didn't workout for me as I've stocked up on the Snell gloves which are outstanding.  Soft and durable.  Picked up 6 gloves during the Black Friday sale last year which should last me the entire year.

That was a great deal, did the same, just because the price was too good to pass up.  Im sure Dean has some great plans for the new release but at less than $2 a ball, I'll play the old ones a little longer.

What's really crazy about my purchase is that I have almost 50 dozen new balls in my "horde room".  All of them have been purchased during super sales.

 

What's even crazier is that I'm keeping a credit at RBG from trades just for the "buy 2 get 3" deals that will pop up during Masters week and Fathers Day.

Dean any chance we can get a little “nugget” on when we can expect new balls?  I’m running low.  Just a little feedback on the Prime ball. I’ve been testing several of the new balls this year.  I’ll play one from another brand until it gets scuffed up or lost, and then I‘ll finish the round with a Prime.  I experience no loss in performance when playing the prime nor do I see any more issues with durability compared to the others I’ve tested. Honestly I find I putt and chip better with the prime, most likely due to playing it the most. Looking forward to the new ball coming out hopefully sooner than later?

I'm glad I bought the MTB Prime on the superbowl special.  It's played well for me so far.

These are XOUT practice balls with the Den Caddy.   Nothing to do with moving any MTB X balls.   The deal is more for the den caddy that people like to have for practice sessions and keep loose balls....

Yes... we are in full production of the new products as we speak.   The shipping times are usually the wilcard for delivery, but we are optimistic for mid April to first of May.   Spent the last year working on the material, processing and quality, and are excited to launch new products that will fit a wide of players.

It's nice to see a company take the response to their product seriously and constructively and make the necessary changes to really improve the product

Really hoping the new balls are an improvement over the Prime options for durability.  I liked the balls, especially the Prime X but the durability was a concern as has been expressed above.  Looking forward to the new golf ball offerings coming soon.
