Only disappointing thing about the staffers switching is it gives the "inferior equipment" crew more ammunition, but after 12 years of playing their clubs I've learnt to ignore that lot as not really knowing what they are talking about. I actually find it more encouraging that some of the staffers - especially the big names, such as Tiger, Rory and Casey seem to have stuck with it. If the kit is good enough for them it will do me as well.

 

It was a but gutting to walk into my local golf store and see the Nike rack completely empty apart from a hybrid, most of the stock from the channel in the UK seems to have gone too. Ah well.

 

Agreed. Casey is playing well again this week with a full Nike bag.

 

Apparently Casey has an m2 driver in the bag. Not surprised. I don't expect anyone to have Nike clubs in the bag after the new year, with a few exceptions maybe.

 

That makes sense. This was a quote from him in a pgatour.com article this week:

 

"For certain parts of the bag, I think it will be a speedy process," Casey said. "Last week I was testing woods. If I look at the areas of the game where there are opportunities, that would be one area.

 

"The irons could be a long process because you’re changing a whole bunch of clubs. Changing the putter or the driver could be a relatively quick process if you eliminate the variables, like I'm not changing the shaft or the golf ball, but I might change the driver head in the near future. Just want to go on record saying I think my Vapor clubs (driver, irons, hybrid) were great - even the B2-01 putter! I changed clubs just because I could and it had nothing to do with Nike's products - they're great sticks!

Loving the new staff bag. The "Swoosh" on each side is actually reflective, not white. Top notch material, design, functionality. Rain cover also has a really cool reflective perforated swoosh design. Will be holding onto this for many many years!

 

 

 

I've got one coming in tomorrow thanks to an awesome member here. Looks great! Can't wait to get mine ready to go!

There's a very nice black vapor fly pro driver head and headcover listed on the BST. It's a steal for a price considering the last 3 sold on eBay went for around $500.

 

If I didn't already have one, I'd have claimed it myself!

I have a question though, is Nike also going to stop making golf gear? Shirts/gloves ect? Or is it just clubs/balls that will no longer be made? Wondering if I should stock up on some Nike golf stuff now?

 

Also, RZN Red vs White, which is considered a better ball or just personal preference? I have a slower swing speed currently, in the range of 85-90, ive only been playing golf for 4 months, but I want to stock up on a few dozen Nike balls as I get them cheaply.

The Red/White are $15/dozen, and the Plats are $15/dozen, should I be buying the Plats due to the price being the same, or are Plats really not meant for a golfer like me?

I actually just looked and I was wrong, they are both $15/dozen.. But looking at the box/desc says the Red/White are meant for moderate/lighter swing speeds.. They also have the PD long & soft which were $12, too many decisions..
