Yep. Putters last a long time since they don't get beat up like the rest of your clubs. I could see myself playing this putter for the next 10+ years if I can get my hands on one.

Finally, #releasetheputter is coming!

Gotta give to all the wrxer's who put time into Wldchld22 thread (myself included) that applied the heat to Nike (post, tweets, FB, etc......). After all the hoopla, I didn't think Nike was going to release the putter.

I will be line to try and get one that's for sure!

I'd be interested in this if I had not just bought a Bettinardi DASS Signature Series 8 a few months back (similar head shape to Newport 2) - no complaints on the Bettinardi purchase, I'm making a lot of putts with it.

006 looks great though, I'm sure it would be comparable quality since they're both handmade, etc..

can't wait to hear some reviews on it.

If u want something special go have your fav putter refinished by golds factory, the work he does blows away a scotty and any other putter. I just called someone in the know, rory putter is very similiar to the nike b120 putter that is 169. Diff color and a thinner topline. I'll pass. This is like buying a scotty tour putter, those are 2000 plus.

how many majors has golds factory putters won? how about just PGA or professional tour titles?

Golds factory doesn't actually make putters.... They are a putter modification/refinishing outfit, having said that the work is very good.

Only 40 sets of MM Protos were released if memory serves me right. I missed out.

There are 2 players on the champions tour who game golds factory putters, I know cause I spoke to them and saw it. JDM bias, his work is number one and it's not even close. If I was trying to push the JDM stuff, id tell u to buy a new golds putter for 2000, have one re finished and u won't believe the work.

True, many majors have been won with 2 ball putters so I recommend you buy that for 199 instead of Rory's 450. You can buy the Rory putter, your still gonna miss the 4 footers..lol.

every time something domestic is brought up around here you start with the jdm talk and how superior it is in every way

golds does good work I have two putters I bought that were sent to the factory

to say it blows away the hand milling on some of the 009's or byrons that I have seen is a stretch

I will tell you that I have reviewed and tested hundreds of putters and I have not seen a milled putter than can reduce skid like the methods do

the odyssey works are the closest but the methods really start the ball rolling quickly

I have a scotty cameron putter and love it a ton, that is not jdm!! My sldr irons from taylor made are not jdm, they r great. I have alot of jdm gear and enjoy it because it is made better/nice quality, feels awesome. I wouldnt spend 450 for a jdm putter, the golds are vey expensive..however it is tons better.
