Jeez. Another extremely limited release for a putter we've been begging for, for well over a year now... Nike makes solid equipment, but these limited releases don't make sense... I wish they would stop messing around and start producing the same quality and type of putters they offer on tour to the masses, and not in such limited numbers... Give the people what they want

I think they are trying, but we are talking about two different product lines.

This is a hand build and crafted limited putter. Premium price.

I think there is also room for Nike to release a mass produced version of this putter at a lower price point.

Nike needs to offer the hand built line for those who want a total custom piece, regardless of the cost.

Agreed. And that's awesome. Of all companies they have the money to produce and offer a hand built and crafted limited putter or putter line for that matter-at a premium price. If they'd make enough of them I'd buy one. However, it just feels like Nike is gonna just do whatever they want regardless of the feedback given and available from places like WRX. I mean this place is practically a "cheat sheet" for them. Why not leverage this forum and opinions given completely?

I know they are releasing the putter (finally!) and that is great. But, to me it seems like getting Nike to listen and acutally follow through is more of a process than it is with other OEM's... Just an example, the original Nike (Miura or endo forged) split cavity irons and full cavity irons. How long did that take? They eventually released a couple versions of irons that slightly resembled those, but never did look just like the originals. IMO they would've released those and sold tons based on how clean they looked alone. Then the MM Protos. Fantastic looking set of irons. The majority of everyone raved how great they looked, then they wend and finished the back in PVD and threw volt green in the swoosh. Again, very close but wasn't the same and wasn't what everyone else was asking for. Now the putter...

Ok, I'm stepping off my soap box... Again, they make great equipment, but one of the reasons I don't support them is because it doesn't feel like they listen or care to give us what we tell them we will buy if only they'd produce it.

(Please don't hurt me... Just had to get that off my chest.)

If a company with the volume of Odyssey has a hard time justifying this same thing, Nike probably wouldn't stand a chance. The putters would have to be so expensive to even fathom doing something like this, it would put most people out of it. The number of units moved would be so low it would be hard to keep it going.

Agreed. In talking to these OEMs for anything left handed is a major commitment for not a lot of sales. For all them it's not a winning proposition. People scream for left handed items, then when they go to retail in large numbers, it sits. That's why when they make an item available, they go in low numbers to satisfy a limited demand. It's not an answer anyone likes, but many simply don't want to take the financial risk.
