My buddy JJ's putter for this weekend in the Northern Trust. Hope it gets hot for him! The guys at Nike painted it pink to mess with him, not sure that he's gotten around to changing it. :)

 

 

 

Looks fantastic without a sightline and the dot shaded. Come on Nike re-release the 006 naked. Even the Pink font looks cool. Come on JJ find the field.

I love the blue, but I like the looks of the oven methods better!

I do to, but can't get myself to pay that much for the Rory 006. So if I "settle" for the Origin, I don't think I will be too disappointed.

No I won't replace either of my 006's for the origin! I'm more of a method guy. I love the blue and the shape, but not sold on the face.

Pretty funny story, I was lucky enough to get the 006 putter, told my wife i was selling it and then kept it. Loved it..She just said to me today weren't you supposed to sell it lol. I did get rid of my scotty to possibly make room for this one tho

It doesn't surprise you had success with the 009 despite the skidding since the ball skids in a straight line (which is a documented fact). Faster roll is marketing jargon that doesn't necessarily translate to putting the ball in the hole.

 

I actually talked to Scotty about my Rory from the Oven and we talked about the results with it. He asked about the loft, I told him just over 2˚, he said if he tweaked my 009 to 2˚ you'd see much less skid. Which makes me question how much of the polymetal grooves on the Method and how much the loft play a role in reducing skid. I don't really care that much either way, and I do like the feel of the Method, just food for thought.

 

I bought the 006 photo because of all the hype and people on here ... about 6 months back. I tried it on several putting greens and just hated the feel (very clicky and cheap feeling), which doesn't make sense as that head is like 355g, but it felt cheap, not solid at all. I tried to get past my initial feel (sound) objections and just do my best to make putts. I found it very hard to control distance ... short on most and very long on others. I really wanted to like that putter, but sold it only after two weeks of ownership.
