I am much disappoint in the Monte clinic attendees. They spent 3 days with other DMV WRX'ers, and we have exactly zero new people showing up in here. Less golf game improvement, more internet banter!

 

Was a clinic attendee. I was one of 87 Dave's- the one with swing where the lower body attempts to separate from the upper body in transition in the most gruesome manner possible.

 

Are you Arccos Dave? I already know THDC but the other 86 Daves melded together.

For the red tee guys, what's the earliest you can do tee time wise? When I book I'm going to shoot for either a 2:30 to 3:00pm start time, and 4-5 foursomes (based on interest). Hoping to have the last group finish up around 8:00.

 

I'll get in on the red rag. Anytime is find with me with a couple weeks notice as well.

 

Goose recently said early to mid July. Might conflict with your vacay. This was pre-BPB-one-weekday-in-July talk tho.

How many superfriends have dealt with shoulder issues? I know eagle has recently, and I seem to remember Domes getting a shoulder patched up once or twice.

Permanent shoulder issue here, right A/C joint. In a nutshell, a divot is in the socket part of the joint so instead of it moving freely, the ball of the joint shifts. Nothing too serious, for now, but still a bother at times.

Never played Glenn dale but id be interested in that too.

 

Basically if I never played northwest again I'd be happy

Same shoulder? What has been the issue?

 

I'm getting real tired of my shoulder hurting. It's been going on for a year now. It hurts every day, just sitting doing nothing. Luckily it rarely bothers me to actually play golf, but it hurts worse those next couple days after. It just doesn't seem to be getting any better. It's been bad again the past week or so. I had an MRI last December, and there weren't any glaring "oh my god, X is torn" kind of things that showed up. Still, there's got to be something going on in there. I've had enough injuries that healed to know this isn't one that will just go away.

Have you thought about maybe get a resistant band and start working the muscles out a little bit?

I'm in for red tee, Bethpage, TPC Potomac, and any other golf adventures.

 

My shoulder started hurting a few months ago. I went to the doctor and got prescription anti-inflamatories. They helped temporarily, but it's been hurting again. It's the same as Fabb - doesn't really bother me playing golf, but hurts when I'm just sitting at work. I think the CC, and playing several rounds just before CC, caused the latest flare up.

Pretty much planning to just keep exercising it, and dealing with it best I can until Fall hopefully. I just want to make it through the season before going back for more evaluation.

I guess the grass is greener, I'm not sure if I'd rather have shoulder pain or a back that needed constant stretching. It's not pain per se but it does kind of knot up on me in cooler weather.

Both my AC joints are f***** from years of heavy weightlifting. My right one has no cartilage at all. The inflammation while training got so bad I couldn't push myself out of bed. I keep avoiding surgery because I don't want to be inactive for the recovery period (which ranges widely) and the procedure has mixed results (they basically cut off the end of the clavicle).

Two shoulder surgeries, but that was because I dislocated it and tore the labrum. Sounds like your issue is very different.
