Main thing I noticed when dealing with kari is to ask clear questions and make clear requests especially before you make your order and pay. He is a very busy guy from what I have gathered with his business outside of putters. If you do that you will find him very easy to work with and great value for money for a custom putter.

Thank you for the tip. I'm in the process of putting in a custom order with him now. Thankfully what I want is nearly identical to what jarederco had done, just slightly heavier and with different stamping so I'm using his putter as my template lol.

DD201 WB in 303SS with satin finish, standard plumbers neck at 365g, softened bumpers and neck, deep milled face, single white flange line, won't bore anyone with the details of the stamping.

After months of indecisiveness, I finally pulled the trigger. Ordered a v201 center shaft in gloss black chrome.

 

Quick question for you Lajosi owners...does Kari sketch the design (customizations) for approval or start the putter based off the info provided to him?

 

In my experience (3 putters), he starts the putter based on the info you give him.

Picked up a Didge he had sitting around best putter i have ever owned. Sold my 009 for a handsome profit too.

I received my V201 two days ago. I had placed the order in December, so there is a lead time component to consider. I ordered the putter exactly as it appears on his website. What I couldn't tell from the pics was how big the putter would be when I looked down at it. I am pleasantly surprised that the head size is perfect, and the black finish with the white sight line is ideal. It sets up better than my Golo and Squareback. The main difference I notice is in the feel and sound. It's not as lively as I thought it would be, but i'll have to factor that in as i practice with it. i can post pics later. I'm very happy overall with my decision.

I'd also like to add that Kari is great guy to work with. I was a pain in the Word not allowed over the last month or so, as I had hoped to have the putter for the start of the season. He was responsive and patient with me as the process came to the end. I'd highly recommend buying a putter from him. As a matter of fact, I noticed he had a Sensor WB Damascus on Facebook that might be the nicest putter I've ever seen. He gave me a quote, and I might have to place that order ASAP.

Wait is painful but strangely adds to the excitement! What did you go with? I will roll mine on the practice greens today for the first time so looking forward to seeing how it feels compared to my traditional stainless steel anser heads.

This is my first custom putter and I had a difficult time deciding what I wanted. Ultimately, ordered a V201 CS, but I'm sure I'll be ordering another soon.

yeah, waiting on mine too. initial order was placed february 9th and payment sent to get putter in line. only one detail was left out and that was the birth date of my daughter who was born 2 months later. Just an anxious waiting game at this point.

Stainless dd201x (for those that don't know, this is the one with double bend shaft, so I think face is a little thicker to help add weight.) with brushed finish and some other stuff engraved and put on it...

Super, looking forward to seeing these putters come in. Using mine tomorrow for first time out, can't wait. My very putt on the practice green, holed a 12 footer, I took it as an omen!!!

Sadly I parted with my Lajosi today. Just couldn't make a darn putt with it. My stroke has changed and a face balanced putter just doesn't do it for me any more. I'll definitely look to Kari in the future if I'm in the market for another custom. There was nothing at all wrong with mine, it just didn't suit my game.
