Srixons are totally in the bag for now. I'm officially changing my signature lol. I haven't been motivated at all to get out there and play. Been focused on other hobbies lately. Kind of bored with the forums and equipment lately. Waiting to grab a dozen of the Kirkland balls, maybe that will re ignite my fire! haha

I feel ya. I'm really struggling finding a reason to make an equipment change, which is like dogs and cats living together...I do draw the line at Kirkland balls, though :)

I bought some for my son. I will try a sleeve lol

Went through a slump where I was more into other hobbies. Needed a golf deload I guess. I've been talking with GG every now and then and he's been a big help with handing out tips. He gave me a couple drills to help with my leg work that I have been revamping the last few months. Post impact this is probably the best I've looked. Still going to work on more letting my head rotate through the shot but these are the positions I've been looking for. Not where it needs to be yet but it's getting there.

Bought my son an m1 and he picked up a few yards. That's about the only equipment purchase I've had. I still have the MBs staring at me. I can't let them go for some reason.

Nike Metcons are awesome shoes!

I can definitely feel more of the ground with them compared to golf shoes and I was too lazy to switch them for golf shoes after the gym lol

Played a round with the Kirkland balls. Went pretty well with them. It's was 37* and they felt really good off all clubs. Distance was on par with my Nike RZN PLT. Some say they have issues checking them but I have no issue spinning them around the greens. They feel a little hot off the face of the putter... but other than that it would be hard to spend a lot of money on balls when these feel just as good. They also perform well flighting them high and low. My opinion they kind of lived up to the hype. Good performing 4 piece ball at a price point that is so low compared to everyone else it's hard not to choose these. I wouldn't say I would throw them in a tournament or qualify for something but casual rounds winter golf I will definitely buy more. But they are sold out so I have to wait for a restock.

Dre, havent been on the WITB in a little while but when did you get rid of the Fly pro irons and why? I am looking for a second setup set of irons that are more of a GI iron. I really really want a 545/745 combo but the golfsmith by me is going out of business and have the fly pros for about $350 brand new....Can you give me a quick comparison? Ive spent a ton of time with the srixons but not the Nikes. Played all of Nikes other offerings but never tried the fly irons...not sure why. I can save a solid 150-200 if I go with the Nikes. Let me know!

Thanks!

Fly Pros are the best irons that Nike made IMO. EXTREMELY forgiving. They are easy to flight low and high. Their only draw back is they aren't too workable. They just go straight. I still have the 4 iron because it was such a good club. I actually might throw the 4 iron into my set of Srixons. From 8-PW they are the same size as the VPC. Really don't have anything negative to say about them besides them not being able to work as easy as the Srixons. Which is probably why I still haven't fell in love with the Srixons because the VFP was such a great iron for me. They are a little larger in the long irons though, almost too big for my liking if I had to get picky. I had x100s in mine. I did not opt for the factory shaft so keep that in mind when you're looking at a new set. I think they come stock with 95s or something. Also they are not bendable very much for loft and lie. The loft on them are designed to be standard loft which is a little stronger than normal but the design of the club, even with a stronger loft, was a very high ball flight with plenty of launch and spin.

How are the K-Sigs working out for you? I still can't believe the word on them

I think I need a pair of metcon's, those look sick

I find myself reaching in for the K versus the Nike ball lately. I really think it's a very good ball. Not tournament excellent but casual rounds, practice rounds. When they restock I'm going to definitely pick up more. I'm also testing other balls as well.

Exactly what I was looking for. Thanks a lot. I'll probably pick them up if they are still there this weekend.

I might throw in some modus3s that I have and have been meaning to try, but most likely will resort back to the ole trust x100

Yeah this bag that I'm building is for times like now when I'm playing maybe once a month and haven't seen a range since sept. I need something to just go straight. MBs need a break until spring :)

Srixon basically did a terrible job on loft and lies for my set. Took them to Cool Clubs and got them all adjusted along with my putter. After adjusting them especially in the short irons they feel like a totally different club for the better.

It's quite scary what the manufacturer will send out. It makes the whole ordering 1 degree flat or strong kind of ridiculous. ANYtime you get new clubs, they have to go through some sort of recheck. I've never actually got a set with every club right.

Spent the week in Arizona and played 3 rounds of golf. TPC was pretty cool and also played Kierland. I'm really impressed with how much I love these Srixon irons. Kind of wished I got the 965s down through the 4 iron. What a difference adjusting the lies made. Had another short stint with the M1 but just hitting the Flex 440 so well and long for me. Only thing on my radar is the Epic. Going to try and schedule a fitting when they release and see if I can be as consistent as I am with the Flex. Hard to imagine I'm leaving yards in the table but everyone else says they were lol
