Oh man, what a ball. Bought a dozen several years ago. Chipped in 3 times in one round using this ball. Had never done that before and haven't done it since. Second favorite ball I've ever hit next to the TM Red LDP..

I still have a dozen of the original TP Red, can't bring myself to play them. U-Tri Tours, I would happily play again. Never, ever, would I go back to a wound balata ball. Feel great, but only last about three holes.

About a year ago they had a packaging snafu and sent 3 dozen for every 1 dozen ordered. That first dozen cost around $9.99 so the balls were approximately $.25/ball.

Color me odd, but I stumbled upon the Callaway Hex Diablo and that was probably the longest and straightest ball I have ever struck. Went off the shelves straight after. Pity.

There is just something about this ball that inspires confidence in my game. I took one out the other day after I had been playing miserably. Immediately my drives were longer and straighter. My irons went higher and farther. Felt great off the putter too. It had my number "22" on it from when you could order them with your personalized number. This ball is what, at least five years old, and plays better than anything else I have. Truly amazing. It's the only Taylormade ball I play. I wish they'd bring it back, but I'm sure it would be at a higher price.

I liked the old Maxfli XS Tour ball. Norman used to play it. Also the Precept Extra Spin. Price played that model. I think both won majors with these two-piece surlyn balls. Good performance in their day for the price.

Nice - that's like getting a triple peanut.

For some reason I get good results with that ball. I bought a 50-box when my game was horrible (I was missing the sweetspot a lot with my attempt to get speed) so I wanted a cheap ball. I started playing this ball - and got my swing under control - and one day I hit it square and the ball just exploded off the face. Probably coincidental - but I began to associate good shots with the ball and have not lost a ball in 5 rounds, shot some low scores and won 2 tournament rounds with it.

I have several boxes of Prov1s that are jealous.
