Mizuno MP-5 Blades

About to pick up a set of 5's 6-PW i currently have MPH4s in the 4 and 5 iron.

Cant wait i will be coming from MP32's these irons actually helped me learn the game of golf bought them when everyone told me i should be getting the Ping G25's screw that!

Just bought a set of 4-P Yoro MP-5, twilight finish, Hokkaido grind, straighter topline and squarer toe, Nippon Modus 125. Have loved hitting the demo MP-5 but these should be perfect for me.

Those are absolutely the best looking irons I've ever seen. I hate iron covers but I would not blame a guy for putting them on those.

What a cool set of irons. The new shape is really really spot on. Pretty much takes care of the quibbles I had with the stock MP5. Congrats again!

I think Yoro can do pretty much anything but can't say for sure on removing the run bird.

Thanks guys when I saw these I couldn't get them out of my head. Exactly what I wanted. Been hitting the MP-5 demo for a few months but couldn't do the chrome. Had discussed ordering a combo set of MP-55s and MP-5s but never pulled the trigger.

These weren't custom ordered by me, they were a set TSG built to showcase what Yoro can do. I just happened to see them and they were like they were exactly built for me. Literally exactly everything I was discussing doing to the combo set except these were all MP-5. I hit the 6 iron demo well so figured I can probably handle the 5 iron too.

Price tag was pretty steep so I sold off a bunch of stuff that's been sitting in the garage and snatched them up. They are on the way via FedEx should be here Friday or Saturday. I'll get some pics and post them once they arrive. Weather looks decent this weekend would like to try and play if possible.

You did it man. You achieved the ultimate goal. To find a set that truly calls out to you. When you first saw them, you didn't impulse buy. They kept coming back to you in thought. Then you went and sold equipment to buy without worrying about the price. We all have been there to some extreme but how many can say they found a custom set like this that was exactly like they were wanting.

Now don't laugh but this has made me realize how finding the right equipment is like finding the right spouse. Some will know it from the start. Love at first sight. Some will go through multiple partners before finding their mates. Some will always cheat on their spouse. And some will never marry. You my friend has found the love of your life. lol And she happens to be a Victoria Secrets model!

Did TSG match your swingweight with the clubs? I wonder if after all the grinding the heads aren't way lighter than initially.

When you do too many grinds on the head, they might have a hard time getting the swingweight high enough.

For example, I ordered my set +1/2 at D4 with x100's and they said with the sharper top line and square toe the max they could do was D3. I'm never one to shy away from lead tape so it was no big deal for me.

However, they showed up at D4 anyway so it was perfect.

I got in 32 holes today, and am just so in love with the 5's. They feel so good, do what you want em to do, and distance is nearly pinpoint accurate.

I am tempted to go deeper in the set, but just play the combo real well, maybe a 7 iron...

Played today, fourth or fifth round since I've had the Yoro MP-5's. These things are just delightful.

Great feel, shape, and turf interaction. I barely get to practice these days, and my swing feels kind of like a folded up lawn chair at the moment, yet still I hit some really terrific shots today.

Between these and my new Cobra driver, I haven't been this impressed with new equipment in years.

Just picked up yesterday. Love the butter feel of this irons. I am 15 handicapper. I heat shots okay, but need to work out my short game skills. It isn't that hard to hit Mp5. I switched from MP-54, didn't lose any distance. However, toe hit was little less forgiving that 54s obviously. Overall feeling is much better than Mp-54s.
