Possible new golf apparel trend?

I could see these catching on with "younger" guys/sneaker heads turned golfers and espically with the Jordan golf shoe wearers.

I'm 28 for what it's worth and I cant see myself getting into this though. I have saw people wearing these are they looked good and have saw others and thought what in the hell are they trying to do. But I guess what was old is new again, think new era knickers.

Have a pair of Nike joggers, used to wear them sometimes to practice at the range (before it's been 95+ degrees here...)

I am a 40 year old, but I take my clothing seriously. My grandfather was a senator and he told me one day that clothing makes the man. If you dress sloppy, then people will not take you seriously. "crooked tie, crooked man theory"

I think this would be a great pair of pants for the winter here in florida if the ground is wet. I hate when the bottoms of my pants are soaked.

I also think I am not "svelt" enough to wear them as a normal pant. so I will stick with my "dress pants, and a button up shirt kinda thing

On and off the course, I wear lots of bright colors, as I don't care if bright orange, green, yellow or pink is for whomever.. that shiz is for me. I have worn neon colors since i was 15. EVEN in the nirvana era... Screw Seattle and their flannel.

Chilli....Do you do work with Oakley? if so, then go over there and slap the piss out of someone for changing the Take 3.0 pants to the new ones...

I wear joggers off the course, I'm 36 and a sneaker head. Rock Jordans with skinny jeans off the course but been playing golf for 25 years and tend to keep things a bit more traditional on course except for my stuff fits tighter than most, more of a European look so I tend to like the JL or Travis Matthews stuff. As for becoming a trend on the course, I tend to agree with most here that because the majority of your weekend duffers don't have the physique to make these flattering or the fashion sense to realize these are actually in vogue I doubt it will be the new trend.

Although I do say if you feel good in it go for it. Look good, feel good, play good. Fashion is more about confidence than anything.

The funny thing about fashion is that it has nothing to do with style.

Just because something is "in vogue" or "fashionable", doesn't mean it works with your particular style.

I'm all about wearing what looks good [i]on me[/i], and I like an item or two that looks quirky and whatnot.

That said, a lot of people jump on a trend and don't realize that they look ridiculous. To me, joggers generally look sloppy. That's a personal opinion, though, so take it for what it's worth.

I'm not above wearing a bold pattern as pants, or bright colours, as long as I can pull it off.

In that picture you posted, they looked like normal pants to me. If you can pull it off, great. But just like much of Lululemon's catalouge, 99% of the population should [i]not[/i] be wearing something like that, regardless of how "fashionable" it is. For all the talk about fashion-sense, I'd bet very few people can actually look objectively at their clothing choices.

joggers are definitely "in". Doesn't mean you have to have them or even like them - but I can't believe how many negative responses attacking the OP there were.

I don't personally have any pairs of them, although I do have Uniqlo jogging pants with elastic bottoms which are pure money.

In the picture it just looks like a white polo and black pants. You look like most every middle aged golfer I see on the course, doesn't look like anything so stylish other players and cart girls would be raving about. I personaly like joggers with sneakers and t-shirts or the working out/athletic look but not with a tucked in shirt or wingtips or more traditional golf shoes.

I couldn't care less about golf apparel "trends". I either wear a nice pair of shorts and a polo, or a pair of trousers and a polo. Nothing flashy in either case.

Chili, that's a sharp look for church, I dig it (& believe it or not, I'm 30). I have a bunch of buddies who wear super skinnies or tapered that look similar, sans the elastic cuff. I personally think they look super sharp, but I I haven't seen any with joggers yet.

One of my buddies, he plays in his lulu mens yoga pants all the time, mainly cause they look sharp & are mad flexible. When you pair them with sweet kicks, absolutely go for it!

For me, I'm frankly too hefty to rock the extremely tapered look, joggers or not. I like a little taper to show off the shoes, but strongly dislike the moon pants that most of the golf manufacturers have been coming out with for the longest time. Puma has gotten the tapered fit right for the average Joe & I would love to see the other brands follow suit. Not super skinnies, but tapered enough to look fly.

Hope that helps & own your style, you'll make more putts when you feel good & know others are more concerned and you look than their own game!

Personally i don't follow style, don't want or need to. I find it funny looking and not for me. That is my opinion and not meant for you or anyone else to follow. As i tell my kids if you like it wear it and who cares what people think i don't.

The elastic cuffs are the deal breaker for me -- and since that seems to be the defining element that makes them "joggers," I'll pass.

I used to peg my pants when I was 15 in the '80s. But I was 15 then... And it was the '80s.

i dunno if they will make it to the staunch golf market but i do like you wore them. i have several lulu items id love to keep in my golf rotation but the fabrics just dont hold up(i walk and the bag rubbing against the shirts have caused a number of issues). i also golf with lulu shorts, they are nice heavy weight shorts and those have held up decently.

Chinos are a style of casual dress pant. Lululemon is a clothing brand.

I'm old too. So I had to learn as well.
