I see at least 3 things here that would qualify for the (terrible) "High School Bags You'd Never See On Tour" article.
Like??
Probably referring to the high ball marks and what appear to be sky marks on his 3 wood.
If you ( not specifically you. ... Meaning anyone ) has never put a sky mark on a fairway wood you aren't hitting down in it enough. Happens to everyone.

Something about the orange on the irons makes them look a little cheap. The shape looks great, and I'm guessing if they were black and pretty much any other color they would look really really good.

I have sky marks too.

:taunt: I thought perhaps I was the only one to notice some of that "scarring" that appears to be dangerously close to crown contact on those fairway woods! Rather reassuring to see one of the world's top talents doesn't always make perfect contact...

I'm not going to lie, those irons are pretty sweet looking.

The line design in the cavity remind me of the first Nike VR blades. Kind of looks iffy in my opinion, would've prefered a black on black with silver cobra logo.

Great pictures as always!
Yes. Ricky cuts his irons down. Adds weight to keep swingweight same.
Just curious if its just the angle/light or actual plugs since the sole/toe already have tungsten plugs. Wouldn't that have already been calculated( i.e. heavy heads) for a staff player such as their #1 guy?
The new king irons have them from factory. Both CB and MB have the tungsten plugs in stock form. Ricky probably has custom versions but the plugs will be there on the stock ones too.

It's a bummer they made the irons black (...and orange) because if these perform as well as the Fly-Z Pro, I would have been tempted.
nothing a little acetone and paint marker can't fix...to remove the orange at least
I hate acetone... ha ha. whoops didn't see this post... my bad

IMO the Fly-Z MB was the best looking club last year, the KING MB is by far the worst. Hate everything about it. :(

The Driver on the other case, OMG ! Looks awesome. Looks like I'm not the only one who got skymarks too.

Can't wait to try the new fairway woods.

The tungsten weight on the toe is not a custom one off for Rickie. It is stock. Same as the Fly Z Pros. Rickie is using a left handed adapter to make his driver 6.5*. The King LTD Pro goes down to 7.5* and 7.5* with a fade setting.

Since you chimed in :)

Currently gaming the Amp Forged. How would these compare to the MBs?

Random stuff to pass along:

- Would love a trade in offer on the King line, as looking to move up from my Biocell Pro driver, and maybe the irons.
- Its really irritating that the King LTD was announced before the M1, and I can go buy an M1 right now, but can't even hit a demo King anywhere in Phoenix (or at least that I can find) at stores like Golfsmith and PGATSS.
- Wish whoever ran the @cobragolf twitter feed would actually interact with people.
- Any word on custom color options on the king driver?

At least in the Fly Z Pros Rickie used, they drilled tungsten in, but that still wasn't enough weight so Rickie had more added. That the same for these ones?

Looks to be the case, as Rickie's have the tungsten in the toe that is in the stock models but also the added weight in the muscle of the blade (which isn't present in the photos of the stock iron heads).

Great looking bag. Love the customizations, love the weighting in the irons, the putter, the woods, love the fact that he isn't afraid to 'change and upgrade'.

Hoping he has a large year and a great Ryder Cup. He has the right mindset to help the US win again finally IMO.

Not a massive difference, to be honest. You'll find the King MBs are a bit smaller and a bit more forgiving on the toe.

It says that on the adapter. If you measure it its 7.5*.

Thanks! We had a problem at the beginning of the release because we sold WAY more than projected, but after that was taken care of we've been really good with getting orders filled and delivered.

Rickie and Jonas have had a big hand in developing all of our recent stuff. I think that's why people are liking it more. I definitely like it.
Since I see you wrote that your a Puma/Cobra employee can you explain why they switched the players iron i.e.... Amp Cell Pro's to a .370 hosel? Was this done for the Japan audience ? For years most major OEM's have used .355 taper tip and when I bought my New Cobra Amp Cell Pro's I was stunned they would switch from previous forged players head hosel size. I've played the Cobra Pro mb's then the S3 Pro Combo's and now I added a set of S3 mb's 2-pw. I love the feel and playability of the Cobra forged irons but really wasn't happy with the amp cell pro's. If I had my way I'd order up a few old stock sets of original King Cobra Pro mb's/ cb's as I felt they were the best. I'm really looking forward to the NEW Black King mb's/ cb's. It looks like very small amount of offset which I like.... I'm hoping from heel to toe they are same or smaller but I'll have to wait until I have a chance to hit these. I was a Mizuno MP29/Titleist 681 guy for a long time then tried Callaway Prototypes for a couple seasons and have to say once I gave Cobra a shot with the King Cobra Pro mb's I've been hooked ever since. Heck now I'm even playing their drivers since the Bio Cell + was introduced. Really like the direction Cobra has been going. Not bad either that they have one of the most genuine human beings in their stable with Rickie Fowler. Very nice to the public and his first impression he left on my 4 boys and I will never be forgotten. Now if the New line forged heads have .355 taper tips all will be great... but if they went with .370 I'm not going to be happy. JM2$
