Yeah looking at what David does for stamping like everything else it's not conventional. I don't think he owns an "L" or an "I" stamp lol.

 

Also those guys still exist? Was the next hot thing until they weren't.

Looks like it. I wonder what the inner lining on the headcovers is made from? I’ll never find out for myself at that price point. I’ll also never find out what annealed 316 surgical grade stainless feels like on a putter either.

I didn’t notice the shaft band right away either. 
 

I heard from David that my putter should ship next week. I spent some time looking at some differences between the pics of this head and a typical sycamore… this will definitely be a 1 of 1. 

 

In the original, the heel is squared off, but he definitely took a lot off with this one to give it a more blade-like appearance:

 

 

 

Also, the original almost bubbles out from the face as it goes back, but David squared this off to make it a straight line going back from both the heel and toe:

Amy Yang appears to be playing a Fleetwood. The other two appear to be the Sycamore.

Yang’s Fleetwood looks like it has a bullet sole. Nice.

I think this one may be different? I thought the one she used at the US Open was a plumbers neck. I could be mistaken though.

Maybe I was hallucinating when I watched the US Open, but I swear she was using a plumbers neck Fleetwood with a single bullet on the sole over the weekend. The extra drill outs weren’t there. I even rewound the feed when she flashed the bottom of her putter to check it out a little closer. Maybe she rotates Mills putters or something. Lord knows I rotate putters all the time. 😂

Don’t mean to derail the convo but can anyone speak on if David makes/can make a wider blade head that still looks dale/anser aesthetically? For instance a wider flat T, Ming, or trad II? I think I’ve seen a couple trad II XL in this thread but I’m not sure if that’s what I’d be looking for or if he still makes that model.

Yes, he can.  The newer version flat T is wider than the older one and He also has the same width in a Dale.  Think is was just over 1 3/16 and maybe he could do even wider, not sure.

Nice, a wide(r) flat T would be an ideal shape for me. However, I also really like the Nellie wings. As others have said, it looks like it frames the ball and sets up so well.

The Flat T and Nellie Wings I own are some of the most recent models. Flat T is about 1.2 inches wide and the Nellie Wings is about 1.5 inches wide. They’re both awesome, but IMO the Nellie Wings cannot be beat. It’s more forgiving and the balance and feel are still awesome. I will say the Flat T feels a bit better, but it doesn’t perform overall as well.

I saw these earlier in the thread - both look fantastic. Any idea what makes the flat T feel better?

Yes. The three gray ones are Dixie. The Huey is more of a golden torch. It’s definitely a different hue.

I’m not totally sure because I don’t have different versions to compare apples to apples, but I think the face milling makes the Flat T feel better. Or it could just be the shape. If you’re into Anser 2 style blades, that exact flat t with that face milling cannot be beat IMO. The Nellie Wings just makes putts for me and is easier to aim without messing around with lines on the ball or taking forever to line up putts…so it is the one for me.

It definitely is similar, but there are noticeable differences. The neck on this one is way to far back on the head for my tastes. Also, the plumbers neck on the custom version is stouter at the knuckle, which makes it much nicer at address to my eye.

@jonradus that makes sense about the milling. It may be me, but it seems more people are getting GSS now instead of carbon. Do you have any experience with both materials? I play a pro v1x so trying to avoid too harsh of a feel. 
The thought of a more forgiving blade-ish model is pretty appealing with the Nellie wings, but I can see how the flat T could get such praise. It looks like a good mix of an anser and anser 2 (I tend to like the sloped/soft shoulders more of the anser shape).

I also owned a Trad II (anser 1 style) with the sloped shoulders for a little while. It was a tiny bit wider than the flat T and felt great. The finish had an imperfection on the top line that bothered me so I moved it along. I also don’t really like the anser 1 shape that much. But it was equally as good feeling as the flat t. Perhaps that is the one for you.
