+1 the Flat T I had briefly was a fantastic feeling putter.  So incredibly soft.  Noticeably softer than my Nellie even though both were carbon

Yes. This. Soft without being mushy. Ball really propels properly but the feel is nice, meaty, and soft. Again, only reason the Nellie Wings is in the bag is because I can apparently aim it better with the raised toe. Interestingly though, I had a plumbers neck “blade-like” softtail with the raised toe and stunk with it. I kind of wish I would have kept that one, but maybe the magic is in the notch on the flange of the Nellie Wings.

I was looking more into David’s gallery and google searching. I think you’re right, the trad II or dale may be more of the shapes I’d prefer. He doesn’t seem to have any more of the trad II or XL images on his site though for comparison between the two (at least from what I could see). From what I could tell though, the trad II maybe has a longer and sharper heal compared to the dale and not as long as a cavity, is that correct?

I have both the Dale and new Flat T with slotback. Milling is a bit more aggressive on the Dale and fine with the Flat T. Dale feel is pretty soft and solid. Flat T is firmer but very very solid feeling. Both of them are the Swiss German SS.
One thing I would like as an option on the Flat T is some softening of the bumpers. I may make this an off season winter project.

@jonradus @oneaugusta Love the Flat Ts! Been gaming my dale for the last year and a half and starting to think about a flat t so when i want a slightly different shape. 

 

Do you know if he can add a tri-sole as an option? Would love to make it as tiger-esque as possible lol

If you want a pronounced tri-sole, I highly doubt that will happen. I asked him for that once and the response was cryptic and mysterious. However, my flat t already has a subdued/modified tri-sole…it’s a more rounded version but is kind of there. See pics below.

@rt301 thanks for the pics! That’s practically identical to what I’m gaming now. Which is good to know because I like the size and shape and don’t think I’d want to go any smaller.

Not sure he is making them any longer. I have been trying to get one made for I think ~2 years now and have not had any luck. Get the reply back of "hopefully soon". The flat T's look great so trying to go that route, but being lefty makes it always more difficult.

I’m the last person that should try to answer this. But whatever it is, it looks fantastic. I have talked with another member on here who’s LH and he’s had the same problem trying to get a second trad II so you’re probably right.

Yup, it's the one that got away that I regret selling. Didn't think getting another one would have been this difficult so didn't think twice when I went a different direction. Kicking myself now

It was an Oil can finish I asked for (i believe a torched one) and it's a Tradition just not sure if its an XL or a II.

I think it’s common for David to make more than one head for tour professionals so they can decide which one they like. 

it’s stamped “made for” which is legit.

But in my opinion probably not played on tour. Now whether Bo held it in his hands and practiced with it only the professional and David know .

Sold the Ming to a friend of mine, just didn't make enough putts with it.  The new Flat T is making some putts and I contribute that to very little offset.  1/2 or less seems to work best for keeping the blade square at impact for my stroke.

Received my Soft Tail last week!  
 

Funny back story - I texted David for a status and he said my putter was one of the best he’d done in this style in terms of looks and feel, though he said he had to change to a plumber’s neck.  

 

When I didn’t receive the putter as scheduled, I texted him again and he apologized for the confusion.  The putter he described to me was for another Eric….So somewhere out there is my putter’s better looking sister but this one will do just fine!

Looks like David's influence has moved to some other brands in Asia. This is one the lefties may like, Huey Sycamore clone? Pretty darn close.

Some of their other blades look to take some inspiration from David as well.
