Did any of you guys purchase the Lunar Bandon 3? They LOOK like they'd be exceptional spring/fall/wet/cold weather golf shoes. I just wish I could find a pair under 150. I'll be near a nike outlet soon so i'm hoping I can get lucky with that.

 

Yes, they are awesome for nasty weather, your feet will be super dry and you won't be tip toe-ing around really wet/muddy areas. Main thing is to remember to wear higher socks (they rubbed the back of my ankles the one time I wore normal golf socks) but you'll have pants on so not a huge deal.

I totally agree, living in Seattle these are a must have for winter golf. Agree with the socks too.

 

I know they pulled all the remainders off shelves and you won't find them at any Nike stores. The zippers were either faulty or they were ripping away from the material but basically they have been recalled.

 

Ah, well that stinks...wish they'd sell me a pair for dirt cheap then! Lol

Got mine as well, should be here Thursday! With three weeks of off and on rain I'm sure I won't be wearing them on the course though.

I actually have 2 pairs. Bought 11.5 and 12 and 12s fit better. I got them at discount so just trying to pass on the deal before returning to store. Shoes really comfortable, not in love with the ankle liner but I manage hahaha.

I actually returned my IXs for the 90s. I jumped on the retros but when I got them, I realized they weren't really my style. The air max's are legit though. Traction seems like it would be a non issue with these. The groves are angled in various directions around the sole in a way that would allow the spikes to hook into the ground. Think of rubbing a fish 'against the grain'.

Sole plate is probably the same. could be the upper is made with Synthetic materials rather than pure leather and using FlyWire to stabilize the shoe.

 

That being said I agree with Mula, this is a model like the Lunar Fire to appeal to someone looking for a more traditional shoe.

I actually think they will be going in the opposite direction, especially in regards to limited edition shoes. Remember the new president came from Jordan and will probably bring a lot of that with him.
