Oceans Eleven Confessions to break a man's heart....

After the fact but, if you have a Dremel, they have a 280 abrasive buff. Also a 180. Use it for cleaning the rust off of old, vintage clubs (rusty hickories and such). Would think it would do a good job on something like this as well. At least for the initial finish removal. Then hand sand with successive grits to the desired finish. FWIW.

Thanks for the tip!! I don't have one but may pick one up at some point, hand sanding anything isn't the most fun activity hahaha

It looks fantastic pigems. Hand sanding may not be the most fun but when you do it and put in the work it sure is rewarding to look at haha.

Forever Changing at this point.......

A brief commercial interruption. Long story short, I joined Holston Hills CC here in Knoxville. Don't plan on winning the club championship since Scott Stallings, Peter Malnati, and a handful of web.com players are members. LOL. Seriously though, if any of you jamokes plan a smoky mountain holiday, be glad to play a round or two with you. Carry on.

Spend any time fooling around with old golf clubs, a Dremel becomes an essential tool. To put a nice shine on a set of classic blades, use the buffing wheel/pad with Simichrome polish. Makes them so bright, gotta wear shades to look down on them.

A woman was pulled over for DUI in Chicago burb. Air bags deployed and she had driven several miles before police received a complaint and stopped her. Said it was easy to spot her. She had no idea when or where she hit the tree.

Hi Guys!!! I just wanted to drop in and say hi :) thank you sooo much for your kindness and empathy with Richard!! You all are the absolute best :) love, M

Welcome aboard, nikegal. With Richard, it's definitely been a two-way street. He's made the forums much better with the stories and experiences he has shared - it's incredible to hear a first hand account of the people that he has spent time with. And, certainly, he has been an inspiration the way he has approach his fight, and the way he has opened up to us strangers about it.

You're quite an inspiration, yourself - it's evident how much your support and caring has meant to Richard!

Hang in there! We are all pulling for you!!!

What is this, Canada?

Thinking about it, though, if it was Canada there would be an English version, too.

Had to call a stock transfer co. in Montreal one time and had to listen to the automated greeting in both Engl and French. What a PIA.

Interesting part was I spoke to a guy named Hyacinth. Really?! LOL. I kinda hope it wasn't his given name at birth.

I remember getting cash at an ATM on the NJ turnpike. I'm used to the choice

between Spanish and English. That ATM had 6 language choices if I remember

correctly, lol.

Some of the older women in the south have male nicknames. I guess they were

oppressed in the old days and had to make a statement. You don't want to mess

with an old gal named Bill or Chuck.

Well, hello there stranger!

Is that the course that was a little further away? It must be a really

nice course if some tour pros have memberships there. They can

pretty much have their pick of the litter.

I got a little bored last night and after reading that PD was sending a club away for refinishing I decided to do a little tinkering of my own lol. I find the Black on the faces wears pretty quickly and I had done this to my 910d2 a while back, now the 4w matches :)

Pigs, I didn't see any toe hits on that first pic of the original??? Awesome!

Yes nice of you to check in GL. I've been thinking about you and wondering how you are settling in to your place. Still enjoying that world class view? I was actually hoping you would give me some advice on moving. Maybe something magic to make our move instant and easy instead of long and hard!

I've always preferred the Jag hood ornament. The Mack bulldog is cool, too.

I have a genuine Mack Bulldog on the hood of the Dodge Dakota pickup in my avatar that is why we refer to it as a "mini bulldog"

Took me a year to clean out our old house and get it ready to sell. It's taken us a year to move in down here. Golf took a big hit in that I played about 15 rounds last year instead of the typical 60-80. Goodwill is your friend if your wife is on board. So is recycling. We self packed and hired a moving company - things went pretty smoothly - but both packing up and unpacking you just have to do a little bit everyday. We had our garage filled with boxes in Naperville and throughout the house - and then here we had narrow corridors to walk through in our living room, den, garage, etc.

Honestly, we took long here cause we ended up traveling almost every month since we moved in mid March. THen when we were here we had a laundry list of things to do - have the crawl space encapsulated, get cabinets for the laundry room, fix up Janeen's sewing building, .... I just had a 6 circuit transfer switch (furnace, frig, outlets throughout house) added to my breaker panel in January and that was the end of our list. Yeah. Of course, no ice storms and only about 6 inches of snow.

The view is still great and just about anyone that comes over comments on it. It doesn't get old. We are about 24 miles from Mt LeConte as the crow flies but given it is 6400 feet and we are 1000 it looms large especially since it's centered off our upper deck. The night sky is cool too.

We've even joined the Sevierville community center - and I'm working out again - deadlifts, bench, and squats with some bodylastic workout at home - Chamblee will be writing about me too - but at 66 I think I needed to add overall body strength. Dropped 7 lbs total since January but probably more than that in fat since I've added muscle.

Between swing mechanics and working out, I was at the range today and was flying 8i over the 150 flag (with a bit of helping wind) - nice titleists for the range. And the greens are quick like 11+ McConnell golf bought the place in December and is doing a few million in clubhouse improvements - the members put all their money in the 1927 Donald Ross course - it's a classic and virtually unchanged. I'm giving myself this week to get back into golf - hitting the range today and putting with short game area the next couple of days - then it's going to be lots of playing.

Come on down.
