"Spieth is the luckiest golfer I'ver ever seen. I thought he was early/late but he's really early/mid. I get that he's the golden boy but he's always on the right side of the draw and that's incredibly unfair. He should have been late/early or early/late. It's absurd."

Dude are you Sergio?

No, he is one of the golf gods Sergio refers to.

The issue I have with Spieth is how he poorly he acts when things aren't going his way, and then becomes the media darling after a good round.

You get what you get Spieth. He doesn't fake to be one way and act another.

You know what? I just love hitting bad golf shots, so I'm sure he does too.. Usually I'll look up in the trees after I miss a green from 100 yards and say.. "wow, is that a yellow-tipped pardalote I see?"..

I've seen Matt Kuchar turn beet a** red and glare at someone in the gallery like he was going to stab them with his putter after he made a bad stroke.. None of these guys like playing bad. Some just internalize it better. Get over it

I noticed this at the Players a few years ago. Might have been 2013. I respect what he has accomplished and how talented he is but I can't stand watching him on the course. His tantrums are non stop and because he's always in TV coverage, we see all of it.

He's exerting so much wasted energy voicing his opinion and providing play by play for every show. It's ok now that he is young. I have a few guys in my group who provide the same play by play for every shot. Nobody gives a s***! Hit your shot and move along please. We don't care why you missed that 5 footer.

1. The conditions weren't that extremely different. Rory did fine.

"COME ON MAN!" Absurd? Something is absurd here and it's not the draw.

In today's society, a 22 year old is basically still a child.

At his worst he's not close to being the a****** TW was on his best behavior.

Unfortunately with millennials it's true. With the way most of them are raised by helicopter parents and eased into society, you almost have to subtract 4 years from their age when setting expectations for their maturity and behavior.

He had a pretty good attitude today after finishing with 25 putts.

I love the kid other than how slow he plays. I can't be a fan with all the excuses he makes after being put on the clock.

Dude, you get put on the clock because you play slow. To play slow in a tournament is a feat. They expect you to be pretty damn slow, but Spieth and J Day aren't going to be happy until we're up to 6 hour rounds.

I have been to pro tournaments in person maybe 7 or 8 times in my life. I'm sure a lot less than a good number of the members on this site. I saw lots of pouting, swearing, and other negative reactions. I don't understand all the grief Spieth is getting. He's not one of the worst offenders. I wasn't participating much on the forums a few years ago, did Woods draw the say kind of angst from members regarding his temper tantrums? It's funny, it seems like the euros love their guys to wear their heart on their sleeve and the americans expect a boy scout.

I've seen this thread the last couple of days and just knew it would be ridiculous and never clicked on it. Today, I foolishly clicked on it and I'm wishing that I could go back in time and not.

This place is ridiculous sometimes. The things that upset and annoy people these days is ridiculous. So what he gets a little whiney on the golf course. He's 22, he has won two majors, been world number one and is one of the biggest names in the game because his ability has got him there. His ability is such that he expects himself to hit good golf shots. If he didn't get disappointed about it, then there would be something wrong with him.

He doesn't do anything offensive and honestly, even if he did, I couldn't care less. One of the most refreshing things I have seen on the golf course this year was Shane Lowry dropping the F Bomb at Honda or Doral or wherever it was a few weeks ago. I'd take a player with their heart on their sleeve over a dull Nick Faldo, Langer or Goosen any day of the week. Keep doing what you are doing Jordan!

I'd love it if everyone on the Internet got to judge some of you all day. Seriously some of you need to look in the mirror.

WTF with some of these nonsensical critical comments.

Agree. I'm sure if we had cameras watching everyone at their job they'd see some good moments and bad moments. Yet somehow we expect athletes competing under the highest pressure imaginable to also be a perfect reflection of the behavior WE think is appropriate. People rush to put people on a pedestal, just so they can get start throwing rocks at them and pull them off.

I mean a thread whining about Jordan being to whiny.....

I'd MUCH rather see a guy play with his real personality than a robot in a golf gear acting like David Simms for the camera.

Right. If you and I were that lucky we would have two majors too.

One thing that you will notice in almost every sport is that the ones who are at the top of their games all seem to have a bit of an attitude. In their respective sport, they have to demand a very high expectation of themselves and achieve near perfection in their mechanics and feel. Think about it, if Jordan Spieth finds himself 100 yards out from the pin in a competitive round and doesnt put the ball within 6 feet of the hole he is going to be pissed at himself because this is something he works on for hours every week. Its something that he has executed a million times before and when it doesnt come together in a competitive round then he gets upset at himself.

Personally, I don't like how much emotion he shows but if it helps him keep his competitve edge then thats what we all want! We want to see the young superstars of our generation get the public more and more interested in golf. Rory, Jordan, Patrick Reed, and Jason Day are a few who are hard on themselves on the course but you also have a few out there like Rickie Fowler, Dustin Johnson, and Jason Dufner who show little to no emotion after their golf shots.

One thing is for sure, with all these new faces driving public interest in golf, you have to love it when they show some emotion on the course. It lets us hackers know that they are human after all!

It is just dumb luck. That's why they call it a draw. Even Augusta national doesn't have control of mother nature and the weather. No way to predict of prevent it. Besides. He's been on the wrong side too. It all evens out over a career.

Normally we just glare at these guys or ignore them when they start telling you about the pitch mark they didn't fix that was the reason their ball missed low.

Their time is over after they've hit their shot. I don't need to hear play by play after every shot. It's like my partners think I'm glued to their round and need to hear every little detail.

Would you like to walk up every fairway with your playing partners giving you details about why they hit the shot they did? That's not my idea of golf course conversation.

It's the same with Speith. We can see that you miss read that putt, got a strange kick or the wind kicked up as you hit. I guess it's his way of processing things but no one else on tour provides this on going play by play. They process it internally. I think he'd be better off if he learnt to as well.

I'm sorry - this is just ridiculous. He's teeing off at nearly 1:00 this afternoon! There's no question he's going to be dealing with the toughest of the winds that might be out there.

I'm not sure how late you think he should have started. What time do the twilight rates start at Augusta National?

If you're even remotely offended or bothered by how Spieth acts, you have some problems...you're most likely jealous and want something to bring him down a notch.

LOVE these comments. No one can like or dislike anything anymore? Some of us who are clearly in the minority don't like his on course behaviour. All of a sudden we have problems? I appreciate his talents and accomplishments. How he carries himself off the course is wonderful too.
