Hmm…now what is a burger? 🤔

🥩 ya?

What no 🍷 with 🍔 in Oklahoma? Or is it that Boon Farms is all that’s available?

🤣 🍻

Colorado now. Out of Florida (Pensacola NAS) > Oklahoma > Arkansas …..

But my first alcohol experience was Boones Farm Strawberry Hill.

Yum. 😀🤪🫣

Quickly graduated to beer, then whiskey. With a very brief but memorable scotch episode. Never again.

Just joshing with the burger. Pulling chain as you know I like to do.

You gotta free your mind, Neo

Best BBQs at my folks (RIP 😔) we would open some delicious Bordeaux

There is no superior pairing to some good 🥩 than a Bordeaux, on multiple levels it captures each bite with perfection and drama!

Id make a whole bunch of 🍔 and 🌭 on the grill, now I make a dope burger, dripping juicy, seared and beautifully medium rare inside.

Ya get a burger and a dog on your plate, some potato salad, and go to town 😋

The wine goes deep with the 🍔, sublime.

Or a beer is just fine of course as well ; )

Bordeaux with BBQ?!?!

Now you’ve gone too far!   @BIG STU where are you?

agree.

overseeding in the winter here contributes to high costs. everyone wants to see green, though. or so the courses think.

$100,000+  just for the seed, then all the prep to scalp the course, close it for weeks, saturate with water, etc.

dormant bermuda is fine to play off. this photo is all dormant bermuda with safe, biodegradable color sprayed on the fairways.

you got your green color at a fraction of the cost.

i know, i should probably check my emails…

I’ve only played the Phoenix area courses in Jan/Feb. I love the dormant grass look.

I was browsing for some lead tape on eBay just now when I stumbled upon this.

Not sure if I agree with ol' boy's choice here, but he seems happy with it.

don't expect anyone has time to watch much of this, but the first few minutes show how different the conditions were. practice tee looks like it was gnawed by goats. they each take so little time when it's their turn.

Can you imagine anyone on today's tour(s) playing as fast as Sarazen???

i can appreciate the need for some alcohol to whet your appetite for that plate, identifying as a burger. 😉

serious question - after you add the lettuce and tomato, how can a human open their mouth enough to take a bite? do ypu dislocate your jaw?

obviously, this is a problem in need of a solution. and i have it…

sandwich smoothies.

we’ll need about $20 mil first round vc investment. get to work on that, please.

we need to incorporate ai into this for max investment glitter appeal.

we open three locations, then franchise.

customer orders their custom sandwich with condiments from a large touch screen, pays and gets a 4 digit code to open a small locker with their finished smoothie meal. we’ll shame them into tipping.

ai computes and mixes the ingredients in the best ratio, then dumps it into a proprietary ai smoothie maker. the finished product is poured into the colorful smoothie bottle, plastic utensils, napkins and a tray are all finished by automation and moved to the appropriate locker for pick up.

for the customer on the go. drink or spoon out your favorite sandwich smoothie -  burgers, pastrami & cheese on rye,  cheesesteak, hot smoothie fries or onion rings.

we’ll go on shark tank and offer 1% for $1 mil. don’t take any offers. barbara will be out right away. mr. wonderful will rage, mark will puke and it’ll be great publicity.

we’ll use 1/3 of the initial investment to hire people to line up at the stores and use our money to show massive sales, then go for the next investment round of $30 mil.

I think you'll be asked to go directly to prison before this boondoggle even gets off the ground.

My wife has a fresh macaroni and cheese casserole in the oven, to go with a salad and some chicken tenderloins for lunch.  Tonight we will have my Bison burgers on the grille with leftover macaroni and cheese on the side.  Mmmmmm good.

I tell you.  There is no sleep like the sleep of a part time ( read - there’s no such thing ) farmer , who planted 27 acres this week , and woke at 3am to the sound of rain on the roof.  Thats peace personified.  Especially compared to my Friday and Saturday morning.

Saturday morning I got to play a round.  Dead tired.  I went out and was 2 under after 3. Narrowly missing the birdie putt on 3.   I held it together until 6 where I 3 putted from 2 feet.  Mentally blanked out and finally truly gave up after a brilliant 6 iron to 10 feet on 9 lead to a 3 putt bogey.  And I’d classify my putting as good. Save for 2 strokes.  My intentions where what was bad. I had a horrible back 9 missing greens and making bogeys.  Which came to a head on 15 when I’m ashamed to say I broke my lob wedge over my knee. I’m a very strong wedge player.  No fear. No yips. No problem with any shot.  And I can accept bad shots as bad execution.  But this had just gone  too far.  It’s a new wedge and its misbehavior is unacceptable 🤣.  But I shouldn’t have reacted. I should have just stopped pulling it.  In favor of the sand wedge that I have no qualms with.  Now I have to reshaft it to sell it.  I hit 12 greens. The first 8 where on the front 9.  🤣.  I just ran out of gas.  And I shouldn’t have ever played.  But I get to so rarely .

Ya gonna pawn the cursed wedge on some unsuspecting golfer? 🤣

And great stuff blade, you working the land, amazing. The closest I get the that type of deep sleep is after a HIIT workout. I bust those out, push my heart rate to zone 4 til I’m gasping for breath like a fish out of water! Fall asleep those nights in 30 seconds flat.

But unfortunately I’m basically in that “artificial” indoor life during the day on weekdays. We make it a point take breaks to walk around a mile or so.

Oh and I’ve stopped sitting down when I’m in front of my computer working. I set up my own version of a standing desk. Figure I’ve done enough sitting for 2 lifetimes 🍻

I do love cruising FB Marketplace and CL.  Three days ago, I stumbled across a Sun Mountain mid-stripe carry bag purported to be used once.  Made contact, went to check it out.  Lister's a lawyer and selling it for his dad, a member at a high end local CC.  He wants a whopping $125 for the bag.  It literally looked like he just took it out of the box and removed the plastic.  It came home with me.  😊

Hell yeah, I'm using it.

Cool. I’ve never had a bit of luck on there. Furniture or tools occasionally. Never anything for golf.

No one wants you grandpa’s Large Marge driver from 1991 at any price. Throw that sh..t away!

Same with your Warrior full set from 2001. No one is buying that, throw it away!

Heh I pulled my 50° out recently because for SOME reason; I've never been able to figure the damn thing out in the like year or more it's been in the bag.

I'm fully capable of controlling distance and flight with my 47° PW, from 120yds full swing down to 80yd pitch. But felt like I should have something in the gap between that and my 56°.

Eff that, dawg. Don't think I ever hit a decent shot of any sort with the cursed thing.

NO RAGRETS.

Off to play Sun Mountain in a bit. Of the three at Paiute; that's the one I've played least for some reason.

In my recent re-working of the short game; gone back to using my 60° a lot. Pretty much gone back to hinge-and-hold. Really does feel so much simpler when you get the fundamentals down.

Nice. I always had to work too damn hard to keep the leading edge from the hard dig, there was always major risk of that shot coming out at the worst possible time under pressure, laying the sod over it. 😡

But that’s a ME problem 🙂….glad you’re back to what’s working!
