the faces are actually milled in such a way as to create the TR grooves. visually it is very subtle since there is no paint fill and really not noticeable until you see the putters in person.

NESS, to my knowledge they are completely milled. the heads in Anser styles are 303ss and the mallet ones are aluminum (with heavy tungsten plates on the bottom). I believe it's all being done at the factory here in Phoenix.

GIR, to my knowledge they will (well straight and slight definitely, I don't know if any will get to 'strong'). and they've changed the look and location of that shaft band telling you which one you've got in your hand. it's a thin band that is going to be right under the bottom of the putter's grip (at address it goes unseen). I was told Ping's testing found the old style was "being picked up by the player's eyes" and was deemed a negative distraction.

Wait a couple weeks. I was hoping the same but they're staggering the releases a bit so that each can kind of get their own moment rather than having to share it. At least that's my thinking. Can't wait to get ours in the shop so I can figure out which one I'm going to end up with...

Sorry if this is an obvious question, but what is the exact difference between the voss and the anser 2? They look so similar to me.

 

I'd guess just visual difference...they didn't do an Anser this time around, but they didn't want the Anser 2 to be the only blade, so they made something a little different to look down at with the Voss.

 

Also, I'd bet the Voss has less toe hang.

 

I tried to do the toe hang test in my pro shop yesterday with a coffee in one hand and the head cover in my mouth......under my left arm was the Voss and the right pinky balanced the Anser2. Based on this very scientific approach they looked very similar.........

I haven't ordered from there personally (Yet) but I know plenty who have and never had an issue. When I searched for the Arna on that site there were plenty of online stores on Rakuten that carried the Arna. As long as they had good reviews I would feel safe about it.

 

I'm not sure if it was with the Srixon 5/7/945 series or Titleist TMBs but a lot of people on here were ordering from Rakuten before they got released in the states and I don't remember many issues. The deal or no deal and/or JDM forums would be able to provide you a lot more info than I can. Either way, I say go for it!
