Yea, I saw that. I can't believe that his caddy is not more involved. I realize that it's not technically his job however once is an occurence, twice is a trend, and three times reality.

 

He's Playing for his livelihood and if his mind can't keep that straight during a round, ok, though why wouldn't you have your caddie take your back?

Seems like Fox is catching the sound on way more player reactions to their shots as well as player caddie exchanges. It is a lot of fun to listen to.

Starting to see this trend from Rory. Doesn't bother to show up on the first day of a tournament, and then he looks like he's shooting the course record on his second round. I followed him at the Arnold Palmer Thurs/Friday and it seemed like a totally different person. He did it at the AP, the Players, the Memorial, and now looking like here. Just don't know how he can't possibly get off to a faster start.

About all that they can do at this stage is to double press the greens, though after 1979, they need the explicit permission or on the orders of the USGA-

 

That was after a Friday evening double press during the PGA Championship-

 

That was the first major after Johnny's round and the board was storming, lol.

 

Though they could bury pins, haha

I would imagine the USGA and Oakmont are more than comfortable with the way things are playing out.

 

The course is challenging without coming across as tricked up, and the prevailing and forecasted weather conditions will continue to further stiffen the challenge.

Was able to take my 6yr old son yesterday to meet my good friend that works for the USGA, and you could tell they got mucho rain...many of the walk areas were super muddy and lots of last minute mulch applications were being performed for spectators. Once thing is for sure by the time we left yesterday evening, most of the muddy areas were drying out and you could tell the sun and heat were drying it up rapidly...by end of today I am sure its going to be very dry for Sun...and making the leaderboard even more interesting!

I just can't take Spieth's gee-golly-shucks-oh-come-on-Jordan self talk anymore.

 

I talk to myself and my ball just as much as anyone else, but his schtick is beyond grating at this point..
