Who are these people who watch ads on TV? We have had DVRs for almost 20 years now. You got to be an idiot to watch live tv.

Beg to differ. I'm an obsessive-compulsive sports viewer, but I much prefer to watch when the outcome isn't yet known to me. That would generally require, in the case of most events, zero contact with the outside world prior to watching the tape. And woe be unto anyone who texted me and said the wrong thing at the wrong time! Nah, I'd rather endure the ads and use that time to multi-task.

So being out of contact with the world for like 60 mins isn't possible? Seriously you just start watching 30-60 mins after the game starts and by the time you get to the end you are basically in real time. Or there is always the swap between game technique (i.e. you watch one game til it goes to commercial and then switch to another) which works well up until the playoffs.

Shorter list than aspirin. Once you get beyond common side effects (even there they are often iffy), you basically just get a list of anything that someone during the trial reported. If you took 1000 people and gave them a placebo, you would get a huge list of symptoms also. It is basically a CYA list.

What cracks me up is the men in the commercials (in the background) are all healthy dudes who would never need Viagra. Men who need Viagra (if i am not mistaken) are generally unhealthy, obese, high blood pressure, etc. Show those old fat farts in the commercial! That'll never happen.....

Why is golf targeted so hard for this stuff?

Thank one guy really - Tim Finchem. It's amazing that this guy remains unscathed, given the unpopularity of most sports commissioners. Somehow, the golf media never follows up on any controversial stories. There are a good number of things worthy of criticism that just get buried instantly.

As a Brit I like to buy US magazines like Golf Digest and Golf when I see them. Last time I looked at Golf Digest there was an 8 page advert for Viagra and others for heart drugs and testosterone. Are Golfers really that unhealthy? Needless to say I didn't bother buying the issue.

This is why every commercial is some sort of drug we all need.

Here I used to complain how many car/truck commercials were on. Now I'm wishing for more car commercials, if I have to see another goddamn drug commercial I'm just gonna lose it.

True story.

Older gentleman having chest pain and some shortness of breath. His wife is there on scene and called us for him.

As we are assessing him I am headed down our cardiac protocol and am about to administer Nitroglycerin. Prior to administering it we have to ask whether or not they have taken any ED meds. And we have to sort of push the issue because the nitro can be so dangerous with those meds.

The man was adamant that he hadn't taken any. I explained "Sir, please understand, if I give you my medication and you took any it could actually kill you." He was about to reply when his wife interrupted "Oh go on honey and tell the man the truth. You brag to everyone else about it."

It was just a little on the awkward side. Especially given what they were up to prior to his onset of chest pain. (SAMPLE history -the "E" is events leading to the situation and he had already admitted some physical activity)
