Just woke up and thought of something else to add that's going to excite a lot of people. Ping is adding a new stock iron shaft that comes from a certain 3 letter shaft manufacturer...

Ah yes, forgot about that! That is a new change for 2017 as well.

Any new options for graphite iron shafts or just the normal stock CFS?

Not that I saw on the "No Upcharge" list. Possibly in the aftermarket/upcharge but that wasn't covered.

if i had to guess, id say kbs tour, partly cause its a very popular shaft, parlty cause its only minimal upcharge already, and partly because it was stock before for ping's (maybe s56?, cant remember). ctaper would be interesting, but w px already available seems less likely, plus dg is also low launch. and would be odd to have ctaper no upcharge but the tour an upcharge. of course, it could also be the tour-v or tour 105, but with the modus already giving a low weight option, and the tour being the most popular of those shafts, it seems most likely. i always thought it was odd the tour wasnt on the original no upcharge list given its popularity and ping's use of it before, so adding it seems obvious. plus as a high balance point shaft, it can be a useful for keeping swingweight down for those wanting extra long shafts. so serves some fitting needs too.

First of all, from the hint given, it is no doubt a no upcharge KBS shaft option. My guess is the new KBS Tour FLT series.

I'd like to see them add a heavier version of the CFS iron shaft that is similar to the CFS wedge shaft in the current glides. Did not like the standard CFS shafts at all, but I LOVE the heavier CFS shaft in my Glides.

Some photos would be nice now that we know a new iron is coming out. I'd like to know if it's something I am willing to wait for or not.

I realize that I'm expressing an original thought here. My superhero alter-ego is Captain Obvious.

Agreed. The descriptions of how they look have been appreciated and have teased us, but we need pictures or our golf balls will start to turn blue.

I heard there will be a new line of wood/hybrids for the I and E series, with the possibility of driving iron - think crossover without offset, reduced offset, same finish as I and E series sort of a slimmed down Crossover.

That would really surprise me since they weren't selling and PING decided to remove the i series woods to streamline everything into the G series.

That was my understanding, they wanted to simplify their product lines.

Really curious about where you heard that. When our rep gave us the presentation for what's coming post PGA show, woods/hybrids/new crossover was nowhere to be seen...

Obviously you and I have seen the same presentation, and like you, that was nowhere to be seen in my presentation either. What was stated is that virtually every product line they have currently is on an 18 month cycle.

If every current product is on an 18 month cycle, then that would mean that new wedges are due to come out very soon, like now. If they wait until the PGA show to replace new Glides, that would reflect a 24 month cycle.
