My Champions Tour quest thread-update post 530

Recommended Posts

Anyone in SE Michigan reading this? We tried to get guys together a year or two ago but fell apart.

Swiz I'd be in and I think OW was interested too.

I sent a deposit in for the Orlando clinic last year but the final dates didn't work out. Would definitely send a deposit for a possible D'town clinic. Another possibility would be if there are a couple ,3,4 ATMG'ers looking to escape wintry Michigan, we could do the Orlando clinic, which I think was in Jan. last year.

If we get 8 for the D', somebody will have to run point to assist in securing a location.

Just an FYI for anybody maybe worried about a deposit refund if dates/conflicts arise once final dates/location are set. I had to cancel the Orlando clinic last year. Monte promptly refunded my deposit, quick and easy.

Could we get a "whats in the bag" complete with pictures and shaft specs? I always enjoy looking at the PGA tournament picture threads and WITB threads and have always been interested to see what you're playing.

I'm on it.

Is he still sponsored by tour exotic? Or something like that?

I don't believe so. I think TE did something stupid if I recall and last time I played with him he had Miuras I think in the bag.

I also remember seeing him use a TM M1 or M2 driver on the VLOG from the Long Beach Open a couple of months ago.

Who's down for the RDU?

I'm going to talk to the wife about it. It is about as far as I'd be able to go though.

It will be a tough sell given the distance (I'm wanting to go w/o having to get a hotel). But I might be able to pull it off. Hopefully be able to send my deposit w/in a week.

As a side, those that have been to these before what time do they typically end each day (gives me an idea of what time I'd be home)?

Can you remind us what the total damage will be for a clinic?

It's $450 plus fee for using the facility/green fee, etc., which is usually around &150.

OK, maybe I am biased...so what. The clinic price for three days is one the of the best deals you will ever find in golf.

$600 is $600 and to some it is an affordability issue, I totally get that. But if anyone is wondering if it is worth it? Wondering if you can benefit? Wondering if it is time well spent? Stop the nonsense thinking and get signed up.

Many of us have wasted far more than $600 on things long gone; experiences long forgotten. But in this case, you will be hitting shots that you learned at this clinic for as long as you play golf.

Usually 9-4. Playing lesson on Monday is usually 10 o'clock ish? Figure on a round of golf's worth of time.

Is there a rough idea on dates for Palm Springs? I'd love to give this to my dad as a father, son Birthday / Christmas Present

Congrats Monte! Can't wait to see you smashing it past Long John

Can't put down a date until I get 8 confirmed. January to March

All "tips" are welcome. Instruction not desired.

Any chance of one in South Florida? Maybe in the Palm Beach area?

For sure. I only listed cities I have done before and places that showed interest.

If I got 8 deposits for Nome, Alaska, I set a date and venue.

All "tips" are welcome. Instruction not desired.

Now that he made it to final stage I think he's worthy of one. I don't know if he was that scratch before.
