Is there a cut or just 72 holes for everyone?

No 36 hole cut.

This may be the most ambiguous response I've ever read.

My bad LoL. There's no cut. Everyone plays 72 then they deal out the cards. If it's set up the same way as the PGA Final Stage Q-School, some money will be given out to the top performers.

Desperate times call for desperate measures.

Bought a aero burner mini 12* and put my 3 wood shaft in it.

Gamer tomorrow.

I have been a bad influence and made Schnee cynical. This was his bad influence on me. Club whorism.

A hearty Disney character breakfast will fill Schnee with cheerful optimism - but then you may want to kill him. Arnie liked to tinker - good mojo there!

Today and my MO the whole year is something we can all learn from.

I was actually competent for 14 holes today (even) and a complete dumbass for 4 holes. Been doing it all year, just not to this degree. I made a joke last week about turning 64 into 68.

There are threads on this forum all the time about avoiding blowup holes.

The range, chipping green and putting green are to work on technique. When you're trying to shoot a score, playing golf swing leads to the dumbassery. It's the habit I fall into when the shot doesn't fit my eye.

Target focus is something I have been working on and that's what eliminates the blow up holes and prevents "the steer.". It takes effort and practice to get better at this just like improving your physical motion.

Not asking for excuses but was there something going on with the group dynamics? All 3 in the group placing in the highest 4 spots seems like a bit more than a coincidence.

Pretty common theme at all levels of golf. Often, when the whole group is playing well, it perpetuates itself. Same thing happened to us in a negative way.

I understand the basic concept. It just seemed like a more extreme case of that than I'd have expected.

Well stay focused! at least at the right times :-)

What club came out of the bag, and how far does Monte hit that Aeroburner? If he isn't dropping the driver, then why the 12 degree instead of the 14?

Initial guess would be the driving iron / 2-iron got pulled for the new Aeroburner. Yesterday he said the driving iron goes 240-250 and that yardage is too far back on certain holes. Also can't imagine he would pull driver out of the bag.

As for 12* vs 14*, not sure but I think the idea was to find a mini driver instead of an actual fairway wood.

I don't know. i think with Monte's CHS he would hit that mini just as far as his driver. Good luck either way!!

I was thinking the 14 would be more of a fairway finder and that Monte would still get it out there 280. Then again, he said that the holes that caused him trouble were wide until you get out 290-300,, so maybe the added v-spin isn't needed.

If I do this 11,548 more times, I will be having fun. - Zippy the Pinhead
