I hate to say it as will no doubt be decried for being chauvinistic but if she didn't look the way she does she'd not be signed to Nike, she wouldn't receive the tens of dozens of invites she gets each season. How anyone can make three cuts a season and still be in tour is beyond me. And she's not winning in case anyone thinks that. It's terrible. Always posting about "working hard" and I wonder how hard it can be to be in Dubai or Vegas getting wined and dined. If she ever practied she might be ok.

She definitely had an up and down year. At times she was in the hunt (4T at the Founders Cup, 7T at the LOTTE), and then she'd miss a cut or two. Learning the ropes I guess. Hopefully with a year under her belt, she'll cut back a bit on her schedule, and work her way up in the rankings.

Yes she did, and she didn't play nearly as many amateur tournaments as her peers, plus she spent her winters in New England. I thought she did a great job.

She was actually signed up by Nike when she was 12. They signed her when she started getting recognition for her achievements in the game. She finished 13th in the Ladies Scottish Open when she was 14 and she won plenty of amateur tournaments in the short time that she played amateur golf given that she turned pro when she was 17. She has also won a couple of times on the LET. I appreciate that it was 4 years ago but she is still only 24.

 

I don't know how much she practices but it seems like she puts in a decent amount of effort. It does also seem that she enjoys other things as well. Imagine being 24 and not totally consumed by your career.

2 wins four and a half years ago. Since then has amassed less than £300,000 in earnings, shoots on average 2 tournaments under par per season, makes few cuts. A trailblazer indeed.
