Ping Sigma G putters

Probably a little early for this but just checking to see if anyone has had a chance to try one of the new Sigma G putters yet? Thoughts?

I'm hoping for some feedback as well. I've come to realise that every putter feels amazing in the golf shop but it's a different story when you get to the putting green.

I read that for some models ,for example kushin, you can choose between two different shafts. For straight stroke and slight arc. Whats the difference? double bend shaft and flow neck? do you know anything about it?

It will be the same shaft but where PING puts the bend in the shaft will give it more or less toe hang.

I wouldn't say it's as soft as a non deep milled Scotty but to me it feel much better than an Odyssey.

I'd actually say it's pretty similar. Definitely the poor mans Vault. Both are soft in their own way and feel great.

These putter have a two layer insert: aluminum on top of elastomer. I haven't tried them yet but I fully expect them to feel softer than a solid metal putter, regardless of what kind of milling there is on the face.

 

My local shop doesn't have any yet. When do they ship? I'm considering either the B60 or Kushin. I'd like a putter with a sightline that's a little longer than the Anser.

I have both a Vault and a Sigma. The feel is similar, but the Sigma makes a louder click than the Vault. The quietness of the Vault (Oslo) was my only negative of that putter, the Sigma (Kushin) seems to have addressed that concern. I usually am not an insert guy, but this one seems to be a homerun.

For me, TR grooves worked wonders. One of the dumbest things I ever did was get rid of my B60 Scottsdale TR. I can't wait to get my hands on a B60 Sigma G.

It's such a shame that there's isn't an Anser 2 model in the Sigma G line. The Anser 2 suits my eye so much better than the Anser

Looking forward to trying the B60. I have the Scottsdale TR and Karsten TR B60's and they are both incredible putters. I like the Scottsdale the best so far.

 

Does the Sigma B60 come in the darker finish too?

Tyne or Kushin??? Definitely Going to switch. Looking to play a straight arc at 33", leaning towards the Kushin as I am gaming a scotty squareback. Dark finish looks very very good.

I'm like a kid at Christmas waiting for these to hit my local store. I need to get my hands on a platinum Anser asap!!!

I like some of the new models coming out especially mallets. I rolled them at the PGA Show but couldn't tell how they sounded/felt due to the noise in the building. Really like how they have like 1/4 shaft offset instead of your normal double bend shaft.

Thanks J! I like the 1/4 offset better than double bend too. I'm looking forward to trying these because I've putted my best rounds with a Ping putter in the bag, but they've been cold for me since the Scottsdale TR.

Used to play ping all the time. Wanted to try something different. Went with Bettinardi and will never go back.
