Bugs, simple bugs. What's the problem with you people? There are roughly 200,000,000 insects on this planet per Human being. One bug or a spider isn't going to bring catastrophic unbalance to our ecosystem. Nobody complains about the amount of pesticides used on golf courses to keep them lush and green do you? And that stuff ends up in our waterways and ground water, yes the same ground water most of us get when we turn our faucets on at home or work. Nothing on TV? Take up knitting or something. Sheesh!

Under Siege 3: Attack at TPC.

Drunken fans and desperate cougars try to take over the tournament. Steven Seagal saves everyone from those animals.

Isn't "desperate cougar" redundant?

its defintely double entendre' maybe even onomatopoeia!!

Sounds like what might happen if you aren't careful with the cougar.

I think it was 18 or maybe 17, but anyway I found it quite disturbing when he flicked that insect away from his line and then grew impatient and half crushed it with his putter, then I could see the fallen creature maimed and lying on the green while the cameras showed him lining up his putt, which given his yippy preparation took quite a while.

Well I thought it was pretty bad behaviour because that bug was just doing his thing and then he got crushed. Matsuyama definitely got instant Karma because he missed his putt but he somehow managed to restore order and win anyway. Maybe Webb had some bad Karma due as well.

Am I alone here?

They have to use pesticides otherwise grubs would ruin everything. I live in South Carolina and Red Ant hills form everywhere in the spring, we never see them on fairways or greens. Just saying ;-)

Anyone with Steven Seagal with some Ho's as his avatar MUST be taken very seriously.

So...I think you have to ask yourself.. "what would Steven Seagal do?"

He'd kill a puppy instead.

Steven Seagal loves all sentient beings. Ho's, Panda's...

Panda.jpg

He's also the reincarnation of a Buddhist monk and has won a PETA award, apparently. He would have saved that bug, and made the putt. Then broken Webb Simpson's arm.

I'm with OP on this one. That was a sickening display of major sociopathic tendencies by Matsuyama and makes me question the state of today's society/youth even more. The way he killed it without a second thought was just disgusting. We humans tend to be able to empathize with other mammals very well, but if we want to advance as a species, we need to realize that all lives matter. We share this planet with so many other beautiful creatures that are every bit as equal to us. Just because they mave have smaller brains or bodies does NOT mean they have less of a right to live. It is this type of shallow thinking that Matsuyama display that will be our ultimate downfall.

You've never seen a "periodic use of pesticides" sign at a golf course?

honestly no....But my home course is more likely to spray fertilizer on you than to post a sign so its likely just me... Im sorry i misread or misunderstood ... I was thinking Insecticides...not pesticides which include herbicides etc...insecticides are a very small percentage compared to the pre-emergent herbicides , roundup and other herbicides and the massive amounts of fertilizers... and also Maybe im just talking about all bermuda courses? thats what im used to... you can pour gas on it today..light it up and two-three weeks later come back to green grass without doing a thing in the dead of summer if it gets water.....

I'm not claiming to be perfect. I realise I'm imposing my own flawed value system onto Matsuyama, but he didn't need to kill the insect and his impatience revealed a mental weakness that was reflected in the putt. Remember that time he hacked up a green in anger? No one does that.

TBH that post even had my head spinning and I'm the one that started all this. Somehow managed to seamlessly transition through satire, evolution, philosophy and ended with a reference to a dystopian future.

sociopathic tendencies?

Bug killing= "ultimate downfall"?

Bugs have "rights"?
