I'm with OP on this one. That was a sickening display of major sociopathic tendencies by Matsuyama and makes me question the state of today's society/youth even more. The way he killed it without a second thought was just disgusting. We humans tend to be able to empathize with other mammals very well, but if we want to advance as a species, we need to realize that all lives matter. We share this planet with so many other beautiful creatures that are every bit as equal to us. Just because they mave have smaller brains or bodies does NOT mean they have less of a right to live. It is this type of shallow thinking that Matsuyama display that will be our ultimate downfall.

That was pretty good. I hope you free-flowed it all..

Speaking of brains.. did you know that some bugs can live on for days without their little melons attached? Maybe that little bugger (ha!) is still alive right now and we're all arguing over his (her?) death?

Kind of scary when you think of giant bugs invading the earth.. chop their heads off and they keep killing us.. end of the world for sure there..

After reading 6 pages of this, I am really amazed at how many of you guys smoke dope. Apparently some of you get high at work also.

I just hope to get out and play golf tomorrow in 40 degree weather. I doubt I will see any bugs on the course, but if i do a lot of really strange posts will flash thru my mind.

Only way a bug gets killed tomorrow is if it drinks my beer.

Sorry that your guy didn't win or missed the cut but seriously Grow up, people can be just as annoying as a bug on these forums. These are probably the same people that will sit in front of the TV and watch bloody gory horror shows and watch people get blown up and heads chopped off and think nothing about it. Next time a mosquito bites you make sure you don't kill him if you're so sensitive and get your feelings hurt that easily. Good grief!

Well, I've done my part. Our cat was just eyeing a lady bug on the floor so I brought it down to my office where it will be safe.

Anybody seen Chamblee lately?

No. Don't tempt fate. Probably on a little love trip - not sure he'll get on too many rides if they go to Six Flags.

The cat I hope!

Hell No! I don't want the cat in my office. She'll shred my speakers! :)

I think it was 18 or maybe 17, but anyway I found it quite disturbing when he flicked that insect away from his line and then grew impatient and half crushed it with his putter, then I could see the fallen creature maimed and lying on the green while the cameras showed him lining up his putt, which given his yippy preparation took quite a while.

Well I thought it was pretty bad behaviour because that bug was just doing his thing and then he got crushed. Matsuyama definitely got instant Karma because he missed his putt but he somehow managed to restore order and win anyway. Maybe Webb had some bad Karma due as well.

Am I alone here?

Nothing cool about what he did. I have stepped on my share of snails when running at night time but never intentionally.
