Mizuno MP-18 SC

Let me just countersignal and say I wish these were made with boron.

It greatly enhances durability, and I'm willing to bet 99% of people couldn't tell the difference between the same heads made with and without boron.

Wrong IMHO. Ask anyone who owns the JPX 900 Tours. I'm a major club hoe and have had roughly 14+ sets of Mizuno irons. The MP 25's were not soft like the rest and very harsh feeling at best. The JPX 850's felt slightly better but I could still tell a difference. Best LH MP for feel were 68's. Its a shame cause the MP-25 were the best looking and was the first set to trend towards a smaller PW. Currently playing 716 4,5 CB and 6-PW MB. The MB's feel great and the CB's just OK. So I guess the design of the club factors into feel as well.

You must be in the 1%.

Just my opinion and not just mine if you followed the original MP25 thread. I have had 3 sets of MP25's . all with different shafts. I won't say any more cause its off topic and I did not bring it up. The MP18 line up is looking good. And hopefully you get that, other then Mizuno not catering to the LH customer, I'm a dedicated fan.

Richard I bought the MP-25s to replace my 825 pros. Seemed like a no-brainer as they are gorgeous looking and came with my fitted shaft of choice as standard (PX 5.5). The problem for me is that for some reason they launched quite a bit higher than my 825 pros and I lost distance and confidence playing in the wind. I've struggled to replace my 825 pros since so I haven't. That said I tried the JPX 900 forged with the Recoil shafts recently and they were awesome. Surprisingly they launched a degree lower than my Pros and increased ball speed by 5mph on the 6 iron. Feel great, look awesome just can't justify the coin at this moment :)

I had the same "high-launch" issue and switched out to the C-Taper LITE (S+) ...it gave me that more penetrating, rising flight that I wanted and got my distances back to where I was used to, and even tighter dispersion. I'm a LEFTY so the JPX 900 TOUR isn't an available option and the 900 Forged is just a little too fat of a head for my liking.

Agreed if they made the MP 25 in regular non Boron GF Forged and made 1-2 degrees stronger loft would have a home run

Baracus, would you please post a few more address pics of the wedge and 8 iron from address? Maybe not so much of an angle of just the topline?

This is great news to me, will kill my interest in the MP18 line. I surely do not need a full set of blades, and if the SC looks like the 25 at address, the 900F has that beat already.

Anyone know if they are adding any new shaft options for this line, like more Modus?

Adding the 125 would seem like a no brainer have a close profile to the 105, but would give a heavier weight option.

ya the 125s would be perfect. Had the 105 x and they were great in long irons but I lost distance in the short irons do to peak height. The heavier 125 would have been a no brainer. Instead they picked the high spinning 120 which feels great but made me feel like I had to swing different and creating a tempo/timing issue for me.
