I have one more set available if anyone is interested before I post to ebay. 3-PW or I can split it up 4-PW or 5-PW. PM me

Would really like to see a few more shots from the address position...not so much taken from the backside of the iron that looks straight down on the topline, but more from the playing position. It's hard to get a sense for how thick the topline is based on your other photos.

This is great news to me, will kill my interest in the MP18 line. I surely do not need a full set of blades, and if the SC looks like the 25 at address, the 900F has that beat already.

Anyone know if they are adding any new shaft options for this line, like more Modus?

Adding the 125 would seem like a no brainer have a close profile to the 105, but would give a heavier weight option.

Modus 120 S and X have been added

ARGH!!!!! Why not the 125, DAMN!!!!!

I want another set of 900F and T7 wedges, but do not want to have to reshaft 9 clubs again.

Because they are the same profile as a Dynamic Gold. That's why.

Agreed. Not that we don't appreciate you taking the time to take and post the photos, but just saying the angle could be a little better if you don't mind... please :)

I won an Instagram contest Mizuno held in honor of BK's win at the US Open. The prize was a custom set of JPX 900 TOUR irons. Problem is...I'm a lefty and they don't offer it in a left-hand. So they gave me 2 options.

  1. Send in my specs and they'll build me the JPX 900 Forged.
  2. Wait a few weeks for the "unreleased" set that will have a more compact blade style and they'll build those out for me too.

I tried out the 900 Forged and although they flew, they were just a little too thick for my liking. The sound was there, not quite the full feel that earlier Mizzy's are known for. I also liked the MP-25. I preferred the look and feel of those over the 900 Forged.

The rep I have been speaking with told me a few weeks ago that this "unreleased" model will have the characteristics that combine the MP-25 and JPX 900 TOUR.

I'm hoping these are the one that he's talking about because I'm feeling these for sure.

Just got a set of MP-18 SC. These look legit? Any concerns?

Thanks for taking the time to take photos and post them. These are dope.

Here is top line w/ my MP-5 7i. Grooves are both 2 1/16" long. MP-5 has 13 grooves MP-18 12

Sold - Give me a bigger MP irons like the MP53 and I'm on it like white on Rice! Hated the MP25s and the JPX Line - Still playing the MP15s but the 18 SC will be in the bag quick.

Kinda look MP52ish

2024 Bag TBD

Let me just countersignal and say I wish these were made with boron.

It greatly enhances durability, and I'm willing to bet 99% of people couldn't tell the difference between the same heads made with and without boron.

Wrong IMHO. Ask anyone who owns the JPX 900 Tours. I'm a major club hoe and have had roughly 14+ sets of Mizuno irons. The MP 25's were not soft like the rest and very harsh feeling at best. The JPX 850's felt slightly better but I could still tell a difference. Best LH MP for feel were 68's. Its a shame cause the MP-25 were the best looking and was the first set to trend towards a smaller PW. Currently playing 716 4,5 CB and 6-PW MB. The MB's feel great and the CB's just OK. So I guess the design of the club factors into feel as well.

For the record, that's comparing a solid, 1 piece forging with a slotted iron. The difference in feeling is a result of the geometry (slot), not the boron.

I hope the new SCs keep more mass on the club face than the 25s. Back when I was shopping the 54/64/69, that little bit of perimeter weighting gave tremendous forgiveness over the blades. Going further than the 54/64, GI club forgiveness seems only marginally better. But a thinner face loses all the feel.

Dang those are some beautiful irons...prettiest irons i've seen in a long time. The Fli-Hi looks great too and will definitely be demo'd. So is the MMC supposed to be more forgiving than the SC? Looking forward to seeing the specs.

I'm just waiting on the official release date already. These are dope as hell.

Available for preorder on 9/1 with shipping beginning on 9/15. Been a long wait for a US MP release...looks like Mizuno has cooked up some really nice clubs. The only real question is how I want my set to look. Long iron SCs with short iron blades, and maybe a Fli-Hi thrown in as well?

I have searched but not found any detail information on what split cavity means when it comes to the MP18 SC. Is it simply another word for a traditional cavity back or does it imply the use of a hidden cavity or tungsten element?

These are a simple cavity back. Nothing added.

Thanks for the info, my dude. I'm hoping I get that email from Mizuno with the tracking number for the SC's early in September. I'm glad I decided to wait for these instead of going with the JPX 900 Forged.

You could always do a solid combo of the MP-18 blades and SC's, maybe go Hi-Fli 3 iron? At least they have that as an option for RH players.

Were the old MP lines made in Japan as well? It seems like this is something new. The marketing and pricing seems to suggest that they are moving toward a more upscale market segment. Maybe this is how they will re-differentiate the MP line from the JPX line?

The MMC looks incredible. I can't believe how forgiving my MP-15's are. Having the tungsten on the sole would be a whole other level of forgiveness.

Hopefully the MP-5 clear out sales start soon. There have been some incredible ebay deals recently on discontinues Mizuno irons.
