Really not impressed they're going away from their Ping grips. Just love them. They're so tacky and durable as hell.

 

I recall not having the best experience with Tour Velvets. They wore out quick on clubs that came with them pre-installed. They just seem like old, cheap grips to me.

 

What's next? Get rid of their phenomenal putter grips for Super Strokes? (SS are great but I like the mid size Ping grips like the PP58). WTF Ping! Are you cheaping out?

I'm really hoping that the crossover does indeed come in the 2 iron version. Question for any that can help. I currently have the previous model in the 4 iron (21 degrees). Been using this on tighter fairways off the tee and get about 210-215 out of it. What type of gapping should I expect between my current 4 (21 degrees) and the new possible 2 (17 degrees), strictly off the tee? Would there be a benefit to having it bent strong to say 15? What effect would bending to 15 do, make the club face more open? I struggle to consistently hit a 2 hybrid / 3 wood of the tee, but with the crossover I have great confindence. Suggestions welcome.

My ball flight is higher than average. It carrys about 205-210 I don't get a lot of roll out. Not being an expert based on numbers I have seen I launch my irons about 3-5 degrees higher than ideal.
