They are really screwed. No more time to convince Boogie to re-sign. Injury hangs over everything though as a big man he'll probably be OK. If he leaves you might aswell trade Davis. Another wasted season of his career

I wonder if they will take any calls on Anthony Davis. I mean staring this and 2 more 42-40 years ....is a package of like Jayson Tatum, Marcus Smart, Yabusele and picks pretty appealing?

SVG knows that his time is limited so he has to make a big splash to try and salvage his job and right the ship.

It's hilarious to me that BG goes from LAC to the LAC of the East (one of the few teams with a true traditional center). There's always been speculation on how Blake would do as the lone big man, and now we still won't know.

Yea, I hope I'm not the jinx. Post that on Friday morning and he gets hurt that night. As a hug Boogie fan, I'm crushed for the guy. All he's wanted is to get to the playoffs and then this happens in a season where it looks like the Pelicans were fighting for the fourth or fifth seed. And then you have to reconsider his free agency. I really hope the guy can make it back to full strength. Whether you love him or love to hate him, he's good for the league.

Anybody see the Canaan injury?? Nasty!!

He graduated from the same high school as I did so I watched him play a good bit in high school and whatever Murray St. games I could find on tv. Even watched him and Rodney Hood go at it a couple times since Rodney played at Meridian which is in our class. Shame too since he looked like he found a good home and role in Phoenix. Hopefully he bounces back and can land a good roster spot when hes healthy.

WRT to the Griffin trade, I heard SVG say on the radio once that he’s not a proponent of the “tank for lottery picks” approach. This seems to be a fulfillment of that. I realize that AB wasn’t going to stay most likely but I think I’d rather let him walk and keep the cap space than tie myself to an aging used to be all star who can’t stay on the court.

I also get the point that Detroit isn't a free agent destination, so if they are able to get a Top 20 player (in-terms of popularity), then they should jump at the opportunity.

The Cavs simply don't try on defence anymore, LeBron included. It's hard to stay motivated and together when everyone knows LeBron is leaving and they are not good enough to win this year.

LeBron is also responsible for some of this as many have started pointing out. His constant power moves are the reason Kyrie is no longer in the team

I expect Ball to run the offense and for IT to play off ball more. Lonzo does not hold onto the ball much at all, he moves it very quick so I don't know how much it even matters. I think Lonzo can play with anyone and compliment their talents, that is what he does.

Pelinka and Magic have been amazing for the Lakers.... Drafted well, cleared cap space, gotten better, and have more assets since the day they took over.

Agreed, lonzo isn't a ball dominant point guard.

I like what the Cavs did. They sucked. A bunch of "name" guys who were past their prime and/or were not trying. At the very least they have young guys who will try. I think they are better. And when LeBron leaves they are younger too and still have the Brooklyn pick

I think of the Cavs....Hill/Clarkson/Hood/Lebron/Love with Nance of bench. I mean that's not the Warriors.....but it's better than the stiffs they were playing.

I mean young guys are gonna play hard and try. The veteran Cavs knew Lebron was leaving and all quit on him.

At least the Cavs might contest shots now, and like, actually try to play basketball. Rodney Hood and co need to prove they are players in the league, even if they know Lebron has already booked his plane ticket. I think Cleveland did well. I also think this was the first time the Cavs made trades without Lebron making them. He is already gone and i think these trades were just designed to evaluate some young guys while giving them a chance to win the East.

The Cavs own pick is not that valuable
