Best pants I've ever played in... Lululemon.

Recommended Posts

I only wear pants (or shorts) that have the rubber inside the waistband to keep my sh*t tucked in

downfall of having a tall torso, shirts always coming untucked and it drives me crazy

UA Match Play tapered pants and the match play shorts are perfect for me

I have some Adidas golf pants with that rubber waistband strip and it really does help.

I tried on Lulu pants/shorts, and they don't fit well...I'm 5'10, and about 175 with a 34 inch waist. Not sure why, but the 34s are too tight, and 35s too loose and baggy. Perhaps my middle aged waistline doesn't work with their clothes!

Also, I really have gotten hooked on the elastic waist that Adidas bottoms have in addition to the rubber pieces to keep your shirt tucked in. I wear the Ultimate pants/shorts...have been able to get them on sale for half off during Adidas periodic sales.

Does anyone on the lulu bandwagon find their quality lacking recently? The quality of lululemon stuff has really gone downhill to me. And from reading a lot of their product reviews I'm not the only one. Had a pair of ABC pants I loved, wore them mostly for work and occasionally golfing, and they are pretty much done after a year. I never dried them, always delicate wash or hand wash to make them last. I expect a lot more for $130.

I have since just received a pair of Rhone that fit just as well, but we shall see how the quality holds up...

Wearing a pair of the Rhone pants now. I've had them for a little less than a year. They look new.

Only have 1 issue with them. The cell phone slot inside the pocket (which I use a lot) has widened at the opening on one of my 2 pairs. The gray rubberish border to the slit, split open like an extra mm. But that's it. And it hasn't become worse since I first noticed it a few months ago. Other than that, the pants look new still and have held up great. I wear the blue pair 2 times a week and a black pair once a week.

Count me in as well as to the quality really going downhill. I have 3 pairs of Kahuna ABC shorts that I bought 6 years ago and after literally hundreds of washings, they look brand new. The new stuff is really not even comparable to the older stuff. It looks cheaper, feels cheaper, and the price is outta control. I've really tapered off my enthusiasm for the brand overall.

Bonobos Highlands are my favorites and they come in four different fits. I usually like my pants a tad slimmer so I was about to buy the slim fit, but decided to actually goto a Fit Guide and tried them on and found that the Tailored fit to be the more modern fit. The Athletic fit gives more room in the thighs. If you're playing in hot weather, then they have the Highland Lightweight. My favorite pants so far.

I looked at Bonobos and they have a store here in the St. Louis area, but the prices are prohibitive. $150 for their tour pants. I may just be sticking with Nike slim fit over Bonobos slim fit.

In the past, there have been multiple sales on their site. Just be sure to pounce on them when they do occur :)

The tour pants are expensive, but the regular Highland and Highland Lightweight would work as well. They have some on sale right now and would get an additional 40% off on already sale items. If you're a 28, 31, 33, 34 or 35 and willing to get a 34 or 30 inseam, these are a great deal. Ends up to be $53.00

Going to bump an old thread here... Anyone washing based upon Lululemon's recommendation? Cold wash, lay flat, do not wash with cotton, do not wash with anything that has a zipper, do not use fabric softener, etc?

Those that just wash them like normal, do you see any side effects?

I have not seen any side effects of washing mine like normal. I typically do not wash them with jeans but have washed them with cotton and fabric softener on warm setting and have not seen any issues. i have both black and khaki color that i wash like this. I air dry mine to prevent them from shrinking (this is my fault though for not keeping my guy in check).

The CK golf pants are quite nice for me. I like the fit and stretchiness. Cheaper than Lululemon (BTW when Adam Scott wore Uniqlo that's what he really wore lol. Saw it in an interview. So that's a point for Lululemon). I'll never get over the name though.

This. Bought a couple pair a few months ago, not for golf, and they are very comfortable. Wash like normal, dryer, etc. When it cools down, I’ll definitely be wearing them on the course.

I’ve been wearing Lulu products for years. The ABC pants are great, and I have a few pairs of their shorts that seem to change names on a yearly basis. I have to agree that the quality of the product has gone down over the years. The older Lulu products were bomb proof, but the newer offerings don’t seem to hold up as long.
