Just to clear this up, he didn't PM me to "continue his defense of the seller". (Cliff's Notes version) He sent me a nasty PM admitting he wasn't just putting his neck out there for a stranger, it was actually his brother and that it wasn't his brothers fault (with a lot more aggression and exclamation marks!!!!!!!!!). In not so many words I told him he better come clean here on this thread because it'd be a lot better coming from him than from me calling him out with the info he just shared with me. He posted his admission here shortly after.

I think the WRX Mod in post 21 of this thread was quite prescient in asking Gh05t "Your "friend" is lying to you or are you lying to yourself?" He was well ahead of the game.
