So has anyone else thought that Srixon is lying about how many piece balls they are marketing and selling as 3 and 4 piece balls? Their website shows different color layers

I believe Srixon does not tell a lie about the layers they use for their product. Just the actual product do not use same color as shown in website.

A good reason I guess for not using different color layer is: it will be difficult to tell if a thin inner layer is off-centered. It all layers are with different colors, it will be easier to tell if it is off-centered or not.

i think it a lighting issue. However earlier in the thread I think there is an older B330-RXS. I do have some B330-RX in the garage so maybe I’ll play some this week and update.

I cut a few more balls today, it’s pretty fun. The TM Penta TP5 was both the hardest to cut and the coolest looking on the inside. The ProV was kinda disappointing, I expected better. TM balls looks so much cooler inside.

So here is a previous generation Velocity. Has a lot of filler in the mix . Not sure if that gives it speed or if they are cutting cost to make the ball, or both ?

 

And here is the Titleist GranZ! It’s a non urethane ball that is really soft and a unique 3 layer design in the fact the mantle is thick as you would see in a 4 layer design like the Chrome Soft. This ball was a pleasure to hit and silly long. Not sure why but it was miles better then the NXT Tour IMO. Enjoy!

The Granz is much softer than the NXT Tour IMO. Better feel and not clicky off the putter. I would say feel is more like the NXT Tour S , maybe even softer but in a 3 pc vs 2 pc.
