I've always wondered about getting a putter bent that much because I tend to "get over" my putter and when I do, I raise the heel off the ground.

 

This is how I've putted since my putting lesson @ 5 years ago. Sort of raising my hands/the heel of the putter was more a byproduct of trying to get the putter shaft in line with my forearms but it seems to work fine nonetheless.

 

I saw that John Smoltz was playing this week with a new putter that stands up by itself. I think we mentioned it before but its the first time he's used it in competition.

Yeah, Smoltz uses the Bloodline. I think that one stands upright more easily. He uses the stand up to line it up.

 

The one I have (bridgestone true-balance) you have to do a real balancing act to get it to stand. I never used it to line up putts. I just liked the swingweight, and I went from that putter to the Ghost Spider, which was almost counterbalanced, i.e. the exact opposite. Then, I went to a putter with a normal balance point. Then I started to think that it doesn't friggin' matter where my putter is balanced.

 

After Domes and I had a match last week, we had a "3 shot" contest and one of the contests was using the other guy's putter. He has a barbell. It feels like a 400 gram head and a 400 gram grip. And, then I almost sunk a downhill double-breaker on crappy greens with my first stroke, LOL.

 

Maybe putting is just about being able to see a line and start a ball on it. :beruo:

i didn't consider anyone who hadn't played one of the last two tournaments. 7 of the last 8 sony winners played the TOC. 9 of the last 10 winners of the Career builder played TOC or Sony. that struck out cantlay. i don't think the stat matters. i think it makes sense that you're more likely to win after tourney reps than after a 3 month layoff. like daniel berger

My customer walks to work. He walks home from work without a shirt on most of the year because of the suns impact on his carcadian rhythms.

 

One of the great things about sales is that you get to build relationships with so many people that are different from you. He and I are pretty different. Technically I’ve reassigned his account but I saw the article and sent it to him because I know how important he considers sun.

I see in your sig you have your putter bent to 78.5º.

 

What's the story with that? Is the idea that you want to stand more upright and still have your eyes over your putter? (or, get your hands away from your body a little?)

There's a couple pros who putt like that, so I never worried about it, but I'm kind of interested in the idea of really bending a putter upright.
