(NO BUY SELL TRADE POSTS) Nike Footwear 2019 (NO POLITICS)

Recommended Posts

So these stores have them for sale before NDC? Is that unusual?

No, NDC is out lost wandering around, no idea WTH is going on over there anymore.

It’s such a big deal for Nike to sell on NDC as opposed to a retailer. I’ve heard retailer markup is 50% and Nike profits less than 10% so they should be trying hard to cut out the retailer.

Nike probably makes more money selling to outside vendors/retailers than to NDC. If they sell to globalgolf at 50% of MSRP, but to NDC at 40% MSRP, they make more selling to globalgolf.

Remember, NDC is its own separate retail entity from Nike. (Based on what I’ve read on here and I have no inside knowledge and could be completely wrong)

Weird, I was at that same store (Minnetonka, MN) today and they had pulled the AM1's back off display and put them in the back.

I returned the ones I bought on Sunday, too narrow and tight even 1/2 size up, and they had taken all the AM1 off the shelves as well. These are a flop like the Racer G. Running shoes should stay running shoes. Ripping the running tread off and slapping on a golf tread is not working.

Thank god they didn’t mark them $175 like the zoom 90. Way overpriced.

I never bought one pair at full retail.

Saw a sample of the AM1 green grass shoe today. Only way I can describe it is that someone took an air shoe and glued on bits of leftover Xmas tinsel or bits off an artificial Xmas tree ☺️. It’s meant to be a bit of fun and to fit in with the “greatest show on grass” in Phoenix, not a shoe you’d probably wear every week but a novelty item if you’re someone who has a large shoe collection. Don’t know how you go about cleaning them! Other special editions to follow and potentially some more Tour Premiere LEs which would be very welcome.

Hm. This is not how I understood the relationship between NDC and Nike at all. I thought that Nike and NDC were the same. However, NDC is run like a retail store where they have merchandisers that choose what to put on the website. I don't think Nike "sells" the merchandise to NDC for resale. If that's the case Nike / NDC is WAY more screwed up than i initially thought.

I'm inexplicably excited about the 'grass' version. I had to think about it for a while... but the anticipation has grown. I'll probably wear them for 1 or 2 rounds or when i want to be the center of conversation. LOL. I better make sure my golf game is up to snuff.

Like someone mentioned before. A good “wipe down” golf shoe. Compared to the zoom 90.

Not bad and great price point. Will wait for other colors. I tried them on and true to size for me. But I’m not the best on here for sizing. I know if I go true to size. All Nike golf shoes will for me perfect.

Looks like zero breathability. No mesh tongue ?

I think the the tongue is leather.

^^^if there was just a white swoosh.....

Yeah. No clue why retail has tonal swoosh. Same as

Roshe G tour.

.com is ran like a retail store with retail-esque margins, just like most any competitor/like company.

Any idea on if and when a new TW shoe will be coming out?

this summer and it looks like an orthopedic shoe.

Lesmond, you wear regular AM1's? People keep saying the AM1 Golf is narrow but the regular AM1 is my perfect shoe, just wondering if their fit is the same.

I hope the Rory shoes are everything I am expecting, clean, simple white shoe, wide version, waterproof, spikes, comfortable.

Is that too much to ask?

Given the state of Nike Golf as of late, probably.

Can't please everybody... Throw some breathable mesh on there and you get people complaining that it's not waterproof and that they're impossible to clean. /shrug.

I would like waterproof mesh please. Like those screendoors on submarines that I keep hearing about!

I purchased some white shoe paint... now i gotta get my hands on those black AM1gs!
