Already need an exemption. My Evenflow Black shaft broke about 3 inches above the hosel. My driver head went flying down the range. We had about 8 inches of snow with a hard crust on top, so luckily it kind of skidded along the top and didn't sink. I did have to trudge 60 yards downrange in golf shoes to retrieve it though.

 

What's the ruling here? Can I replace the whole club or just the shaft?

 

If you break a club ACCIDENTALLY (lol), you are allow to replace the entire club.

 

But, if you really want to increase your "street cred" with other Members of the 2019 BIS Club, you'll put the exact same replacement shaft in the exact same club head and watch the rest of us quiver in the wake of your ironclad fortitude.

 

It's an option, is all I'm sayin'......

 

(FWIW, I believe that today will be my very last day in the Club. Please hold all tears and applause until the decision is final though, just in case.........)

I'm done... I made the mistake of forcing myself into an all-Cobra bag, but never had full confidence in my hybrid. I'm back to bagging my old Mizuno JPX Fli Hi hybrid. Everything else in the bag seems pretty solid for now.

 

Not a catastrophic failure like last year, so I think I'm making progress.

Umm yeah so that didn't take long.. I'm out with new Gen 2 PXG driver and fairway in my bag both with Tour AD IZ's. In my defense when I went into the challange I was not aware the new PXG wood line was about to be released and more importantly at the new price points. If Ping drops that PLD Tyne a third club will fall from my bag but otherwise I feel pretty good about holding it together for the next 11 months.

So, while the details of my failure are quite inconsequential, here they are anyway:

 

I am on staff with Callaway and the new Apex Pros have been exactly what I was always looking for - cavity back, low offset, distance tech in the long irons/not in the short irons, & they come with a "set" gap wedge.

 

So, when they decided to send Xander's prototypes to market, my 2019 campaign was toast from day 1, lol!

 

That said, I've now butt cut them to 3/8" for a DIY MOI and put the Align +4 grips on skewed to help me with the club face and played 36 holes! I love them! The EF 3w, PM 2.0 54°, and a Toulon Austin are on the way and that will be it for a while.

 

Best of luck to everyone, and I mean that both with utmost sincerity and absolute heaps of sarcasm and bitterness!!!

Just to rub it in a bit, the Epic Flash 3w & Toulon Austin are here, although I haven't heard about the PM 2.0 Grind, yet.

 

So yeah, just for the record, I will have replaced all but two of the sticks that I shot a PB with just 3 or 4 short months ago. And on those two sticks I shortened the shafts and put on new grips!!!!

 

I'm a complete failure and a mess of a club junkie, which is why I'm perfect for my self-appointed position of Grand Despot and High Poobah of the Bag is Set Club!!!!

Carries x2 hybrids last season 18 and a 23, tempted to move to a 5 wood 23 set up but those are the spaces I’m playing with at the minute, will have it sorted by the time the season starts here in Scotland, it’s currently -2, pissing with rain and 40mph winds...
