Three of the great songs that I heard listing to my transistor AM radio held close to my ear coming out of CKLW The Big 8 on your AM dial out of Windsor, Ontario. These were some of my early favorites.  I was a music loving 11 year old in Detroit. I did not notice how exceptionally cute/hot Ms. Freda Payne was at the time. 😁

Farmer wasn't that just fantastic for a kid to experience. Late at night just you and the transistor and the ability to tune in clearly to radio stations many states away. Magic was truly in the air.

"While the band were recording the album, Black Sabbath were recording Technical Ecstasy in an adjacent studio at Criteria Studios in Miami. The band was forced to stop recording on numerous occasions because Black Sabbath were too loud and the sound was coming through the wall.^[12] The last track of the album, "The Last Resort" had to be re-recorded a number of times due to noise from the next studio."^[5]

 

I remember, in HS, falling asleep to Hotel California, Kiss Double Platinum, Frampton Comes Alive and others I can't think of right now.

Still have the board I made in junior high shop class with Tracker trucks and green Kryptonic wheels.  I'll be buried with it.

 

Tony Alva was the MAN in the mid 70's and was in about every Skateboarder magazine I ever looked at.  Inspiring.

 

I never rode a pool or half pipe but there was a makeshift 1/4 pipe (ramp) someone built in an abandoned loading dock that I frequented.  Loved it.  My best sport by far.

I used to burn out one side of this double album. One day decided to try the other side. And after one play was seriously burning that side out. Still do from time to time. And here's the whole side.
