The other 13 went to Carl's Golfland - not sure if they sold or are selling some of them. I'm getting mine from a seller on eBay. He had a head/shaft combo listed with a best offer, so I made an offer asking about just the head, and they accepted. Seems like I'm lucky to have been able to get one right now. Supposed to be delivered today, and I'll hopefully be able to hit it tomorrow.

Your making me want to get one but without ball speed gains I can’t do better than the Max.

Also I need all the CC I can get. Even a difference of 10CC

I hate to be a heartbreaker, brother... but LST added club and ball speed for me. I' guessing with you swinging much faster than my 100 mph you will see even more of the good stuff!

Played a round this morning with the LST

ztxqfavcr37h.jpg

Personal feeling vs G400 Max

-Looks better Size/Crown/Color

-Sounds a little more solid at impact

-Adjustability is a big positive. Love the flat lie setting.

-Forgiveness appears to be a wash. They are very similar for me.

Noticeable differences in ball flight

-Launches noticeably lower than the Max probably at least 2 degs if not more. I have my max at 9 set to big minus. LST at 9 flat lie setting.

-spin and peak height is lower. I am getting maybe 2/3 the height on my shots vs the max.

I surprising don't hate the evenflow black shaft. Felt good and performed well. I have an Atmos black incoming and could possibly retipped my Kuro Kage XD from the Max to the 410. or just buy the ventus I originally ordered.

Coming from just recently picking up an Epic flash SZ and hating it more then any club I have ever swung. I am extremely happy with the LST's performance.

Also the Garmin G80 rocks!!!

Did you play the G400 LST as well? Seen some online reviews that didn’t see a lot of differences but looking for real world experiences. Also wondering if there is any info out there on MOI differences in the two models and if custom orders are still backed up quite a bit on the 410.

I played 400 LST briefly, but we never really got along... a bit too fade biased for my swing at the time last season. Ping claims 410 LST is 3% increase in MOI over 400 LST. A friend of mine who plays 400 LST got a bit more ball speed out of 410 LST and really loved the fact that he could adjust ball flight with movable weight. But I can't imagine many 400 LST players will find a reason to make the move. Unless like me, you need to flip to a more draw biased club.

The Black Even Flow is surprisingly good and I think it really comes alive in Ping heads for some reason. You’ll have to keep us updated on the shaft you end up going with as the Atmos Black, KK XD, and Ventus are all top notch!

Did you try hot melt in the heel and or closing the face with one of the plus settings? Just curious

Got my 410 LST to the range today (paired with 125 MSI Rogue Silver 70x), and after a couple of swings, I wasn’t very impressed, but after a few more, it had the look of a contender. I’d already decided I’m getting rid of my Epic Flash SZ, which I can’t keep on the planet, and had put my original Epic SZ back in the bag for a range session earlier this week, and was encouraged by what I saw compared to what I’ve been doing this year.

I’m planning to get both on the course tomorrow morning to do a head to head comparison to see how the LST does when it counts.

Feel and sound are both really nice, and the ball flight passes the eye test, so I’m interested to see how it goes on the course.

The regular Epic Flash SZ was a no go for me. The Triple Diamond, on the other hand, is a completely different monster.

Yes, I ordered from Ping digital loft with hot melt in heal. I could not however move to high loft / more closed face because it launched too high for me at those settings. For me, 410 LST is a different animal from 400 LST. For me, 410 LST fixed every minor flaw I had with Max, including sound and feel... not to mention it looks amazing.

I tested the G400LST vs G410LST (exact same shaft in both) and didn't see any noticeable difference in spin or launch. The only difference I could tell was footprint/aesthetics. I think the G410LST looks better for sure and the biggest improvement is the adjustable weighting which when dialed in can tighten dispersion. I stated on another page but the G410Plus is the bigger improvement in spin and launch compared to the Max/G400. Dropped spin and super forgiving which i'm assuming is why Pings top guys are sticking with it like Bubba, Finau, Champ

I wanted 410 Plus to replace my Max. However, in my case, it spun more than Max. Fortunately, 410 LST was the improvement over Max I was looking for.

I agree with your assessment of 400 LST versus 410 LST. For me, the game changer was the moveable weight. By setting 410 LST to draw it fixed the fade biased issues I had with 400 LST.

I got out this morning and was able to hit my two contenders head to head on about 5 holes (using the LST shots on every hole as the ball I played, regardless of where the tee shots with the Epic SZ ended up), and it's quite clear that the LST is a winner for me. It's obviously honeymoon time, but I've struggled badly so far this year, in large part because I've been really inconsistent off the tee, and put myself in bad spots that have cost me shots.

On the course, I felt like I had good control of my ballflight with the LST, and it helped me out on a couple of my less than stellar swings. The LST was longer by 7-10 yard when I hit my normal shot shape (slight fade), and I only hit the Epic longer once when I turned it over and hit a draw versus a straight ball with the LST. I hit 8 of 11 fairways with the LST and the only miss that got me in any trouble was on a hole where I almost never hit driver, but I got a little cocky because of how well I'd hit it to that point. I shot even par, which is my best of the year by 3 or 4 shots. If nothing else, the LST makes a very good first impression! I have a tournament on Sunday where I'll be trying it out under pressure for the first time.

Exactly. I think the G410LST in an improvement in aestetics and adjustability which can lead to better dispersion. Overall they're great improvements. With the G410 PLus you can add a lighter backweight and replace that weight with melt to the face (what they do on the tour van) and you get G400LST level spin with more forgiveness. It's a big winner as well and something I am interested in doing.

Forward hotmelt on 410 Plus is an interesting angle... I like that and may need to give it a shot.

I must admit, however, the looks of 410 LST is the prettiest Ping driver I have ever seen. Old school Titleist pear shape with a new school flat black twist. Hard to beat!

Lol, it's nothing like that. I don't think I am seeing huge distance gains, and I was hitting from familiar spots, but the LST seems to be giving me a touch more distance while being seemingly a lot more forgiving than my Epic SZ, and a hell of a lot more forgiving than the Epic Flash SZ. If that holds up over a larger sample size, it'll prove to be a very worthwhile upgrade.

No, It's a new one this year -- has additional settings, so the ones from G400 and before won't work in the new heads.

OK, seriously...who is the LST for? I get we can move weight to affect ball flight, but all this does is bring down spin, but maintain higher launch due to the MOI?
