Daly gets cart at PGA

Recommended Posts

@cxx

No, i don't. But Daly pretends to play a sport for a living, but he doesn't behave like an athlete. And if something does not go his way health-wise, he doesn't opt to better his physical condition. No, he asks for something to make it easier for him. Others work out and practice, he smokes, drinks, is overweight and asks for a cart.

You don't see a difference between being stretched out and riding in a cart 4 days while your competitors walk a long hilly course? Have you ever walked the Black course? I have a torn meniscus so I don't doubt his knee may hurt but the fact he now has diabetes and suffers from dizzy spells indicates his overall physical condition has declined to the point where simply walking the course would raise his pulse and breathing rate to a point where he can't swing a club or putt well.

Riding in a cart may not lend an advantage on days 1 and 2. But, when Saturday and Sunday roll around- it gives a notable advantage in terms of reducing fatigue and sustaining a player's stamina.

Maybe if John worked on his weight and diet, the knee could, at the very least, be more usable.

If he finishes any higher than last then he did so because of the advantage he had using a cart while the others walked.

I was thinking the same about you, how can you not comprehend riding in a cart on a long hilly course doesn't provide Daly with an advantage.

Do people really think he still has game enough to actually win the PGA on one of the most difficult courses the pros can play.

I'm guessing it's for whatever sponsors he has left. Plus this whole cart thing has given him some press coverage he'd have never had otherwise.

Perhaps, but when he possibly shoots 87 and WD's halfway through the 2nd round, the press will not be kind and whatever sponsors he may have will slip into the shadows. I can't see anything remotely good coming from this attempt, unless he's trying to set up a cart to play the British Open, if they would even entertain that and even if he is able to play in it.

I don't think it matters to what degree the advantage simply if there is an advantage vs the rest of the field. Beta blockers may not take you from 100 - the #1 player in the world but they can be a huge advantage down the stretch if you get nervous when the pressure it on and Tiger and his mob of fans all rooting for you to s*** the bed.

You have a severe reading comprehension issue. I stated that if he finished anything but last he'd have done so due to an advantage of using a cart. Where did I state he'd win or play to their level?

it really does not matter what is rank is, It could be Joe Blow club pro that is not even ranked. It is not right. I am wondering about Tiger and his stress fracture way back when. I seem to remember him walking... I could be wrong though. Let me know if I am.
