Mine arrived today. All three of them! In one shipping bag. Good on them for noticing my separate orders and shipping them all together.

Worked through the day one protocols. Takes all I can muster not to move one to day two but I am going to stay the course and follow it as prescribed to properly review the product.

Although tomorrow all bets may be off so who knows.

First two shots with the PM attached were sh@nks. Then I kind of figured it out and hit a whole bunch of really quality shots. The ghost arm thing is a bit freaky but I feel like my pitching motion is changed already after only a few drills and shots. I am hopeful that by the end of the week things will get really interesting.

Same boat as others, mine arrived today. Working on day one stuff and did the 30 follow throughs which was easy to emulate but far different than I normally do. Then when I started adding the back swing it became clear that my natural takeaway is too inside. So obviously I work on keeping it more outside to keep tension on the band but now my question is how much tension is too much tension? I'm working with a mirror to try and match up with the look in the first protocol video of club head slightly outside the hands at just around parallel but I'm a little nervous at how little the difference in feel is to light tension (correct takeaway) in the band and heavy tension (way too outside). Maybe I just need more time with it to get a better sense of the tension in the band.

I know what you mean I’ve found if I just move my arms back with my shoulders FIRST without rotating my forearms AT ALL a split second before the hips start going keeps the correct tension. I believe the correct tension is what you have at address. Try to keep it exactly the same. Adding tension means my arms are pushing away from the body. Really doing the protocols slowly and for the correct amount of times - 30 - allowed me to learn that because that first move back and then hitting a little shot is how I figured that out. Took about 20 reps and it’s like, oh there it is. Lol

I’m using foam balls in living room (wife loves it). Even with these I think speeds up the learning because you can feel impact and see the ball go straight or left. Was pulling everything at first but wouldn’t have known it without the ball. Definitely no ball at first is the way to go but think it really hits home when ball is introduced. The one handed shot especially left arm are giving me trouble !!

Got mine yesterday and completed day 1 protocol. Really like it so far, but looking for some clarification re day 2. How many total swings/motions are people doing day 2?

Video clearly says:

1. 30 partial follow throughs with lead arm (no ball)

2. 30 partial follow throughs with trail arm (no ball)

3. __ short shots with lead arm

4. __ short shots with trail arm

"After you have done a few of these..."

5. Regular 2 handed shots starting at 20 yards building up to 60 yards (10 yards at a time).

So how many motions/swings total? 60 for 1 & 2, but how many for 3-5? I get that it might not be a one size/number fits all, but a minimalist might say/do 9 shots total 3-5 while a maxinizer could do as many as 7 x 30 = 210 (for a day 2 total of 270 motions). Have they offered a clarification anywhere?

i spent about an hour with it so far hitting birdie balls into my closet.

at first i was blocking balls into the wall to my right, had to close the face down quite a bit through the downswing to get the clubface square. plane looks beautiful at half effort, can't do a full speed swing or i'll put a hole in the ceiling on my follow through.

to those drilling with it indoors i'd highly recommend having a tall mirror behind you and/or hitting a plastic ball or something. if you're just swinging at nothing with no visual feedback i can see a former OTTer having quite the surprised face when you finally go hit a ball and it starts 30 degrees right. maybe that's just me though.

I'm 6'4" so that may be the reason for what's happening, but when I attach the short game band to my wedge after a 10 or so reps in protocol 1 the clamp nudges upwards on the shaft little by little. I can't tighten it down anymore. It also twists around the shaft with virtually every rep.

Are both of these things normal?

Should not just strap on planemate and practice solely with it Not planemate but will give you an idea of how to more effectively practice with it.

key is spacing, variability and challenge.

I gotta say, after some light drilling inside and outside (no ball yet), I am feeling a sensation, burn, light soreness in my upper left glute and left external oblique. This just further diagnoses the fact that I am a habitual flipper and use manipulation.

ANd there is some thrashing against those who are selling planemates? Honestly, it's not for everyone and you can't really be made that someone is selling for double the price because SOMEONE will buy it. They are the hottest training aid there is.

Got mine today and went through the day 1 protocol. The ghost swing thing is weird. I did the 30 reps of starting position to finish position, then took it off and picked up a different wedge and the club started to move forward on its own. I did the second part of day 1 with ping pong balls in the family room and that seemed to go OK. Going to take it slow and do each day's protocol. I'll take it with me to the simulator place this weekend - I'm sure I'll get some looks but what the heck.
