Best GI or SGI Irons Available

Guys, what are the best SGI NON hollow clubs? I'm interested in Ping, are any of their current SGI or GI solid body? or how far back do you go for sold G Pings? 25, 30? Thanks.

To the OP, I was excited about this post and tons of information sent your way. My original thought was there's a great deal of helpful information here! And as I'm reading I realize that almost everyone that claims the XYZ club changed their lives and will be burried with them, has a witb signature under the reply that says they are already playing something totaly differen't lmao.

So for me i also like the idea of making the game as easy as can be but with a look i can handle. Most sgi or even gi irons are very chunky on the bottom and then thick or mid top lines with a few thinner toplines. I have nike vapor speed irons as backups... huge bottoms but the topline are relatively thin such big bottoms. I just purchased honma tw 747p irons which are supposedly gi irons in a players iron profile. Sits right on the line of players distance iron and gi. Bottoms seem to be perfect tops are real thin next to no offsett and said to feel forged with great sound and stong lofts. They will be here in the morning cant wait. If they dont pan out i will give mavrik standard a shot possibly.

I tried G410 and 919HM, found a deal on the 919HM with Recoil shafts and haven’t looked back. Can’t seem to hit a bad shot with them. As others have already stated, they are both very close in performance/forgiveness so you can base your decision on more subjective factors like looks, how they sit at address, resale value, durability, etc. If you made up a scoring system (1-10 scale) based on what factors are most important to you, I think they’d be within 1 or 2 points of each other.

Oh man, 2017 Cobra King OS, give them a try. Easily the best feeling, most forgiving, long distance iron I've ever used. I even have 2 back-up sets!!!! They're a steal on the Bay right now, just be ready cause in 4-7i they are pretty low spin, so a high launch shaft is almost a necessity to get a good descent angle. Also, despite their large size, the 4i doesn't have any noticeable sole sticking out at address, a huge plus in my book! These are legit, scorecard heroes. Definitely not beautiful in the bag, but also not hideous, and considering how well they play, their looks don't even really matter after awhile. Impact is a little clicky/loud, but they feel so good in your hands. Typically sound and feel go hand-in-hand, but these just flat out perform.

Another vote for g410 here. I even tried them against all the rest with my pro and the g410 carried further, higher and with better spin for me.
