While awaiting for newly purchased Hogan ICON's, I realized that I needed a bag since I am keeping my old set of Tour Edge. SOoooo went to ebay and decided on this really nice Cart Bag from Sun Mountain. It is the Sun Mountain Arete. Very lightweight for a cart bag and would be no trouble to carry. Free standing. It may even be a ladies bag as I am not familiar with the Sun Mountain lineup. 9.5 x 8 Simple, Navy Blue. I was really impressed by the condition (looks brand new). In any event, I won the auction and paid $39.25.

Anyone with the Ping CLE put it on a cart yet? If so how does it ride? Majority of my rounds are walking but on occasion I play a course where walking is prohibited and I don’t want I switch out bags to ride that one round a month.

How is walking prohibited?? If it’s pace of play, I actually play faster walking.

Lots of courses don't allow walkers, especially prime time weekend rounds. They want their $ for carts

Unfortunately a lot of the courses around here are resort courses so they try to maximize their profit by making you renting a cart.

I totally agree it is a shame because I too can play so much faster than most people walking.

I called local course The Vineyard at Escondido. Currently they allow carts for only those with disability, but on Monday will allow seniors also. Social distancing in force, masks worn anywhere on the property, and payment by credit/debit. I will probably wait for awhile. Actually, I have not played but maybe twice in the past year.

Another walking round with the Callaway HyperZero 2019. Still love it.

One thing Ive noticed that I am not a fan of is that the pockets seem less structured. I carried a few snacks in the side pockets and it seems to "hang" when full. Not a deal breaker by any means but something I did notice. Also, the shoulder strap can sometimes get tangled but overall no real issues.

Still highly recommend.

I’ve used the the Ping CLE on a cart a couple times and worked perfectly fine. I thought I would want to switch back and forth with my Hoofer but haven’t had any need to switch out of the Ping CLE. Also worked fine on a push cart.

SO many good deals out there! My Ogio Vaporlite survived another round, but the small rip where the strap is fastened to the bag is getting bigger.

 

I played a round with my BIL yesterday, he laughed when he saw my old bag, he and I both bought the same Ogio years and years ago, but he got rid of his after carrying a Callaway ultralight bag...

Rangefinder pocket is hard to reach when the clubs are on your back ...... but that’s super nit picky. I don’t have any other complaints.

That Nike Sportlite is sick in the white but sold out everywhere. I went into Golf Galaxy today and they had the blue TM LiteTech 3.0 marked down to $149 so I pulled the trigger. Seems to have everything I need except the glove patch but I usually just fasten them to the straps anyway. Walking tomorrow so fingers crossed.

I have picked up both the Crazelite and 2.5+ To compare them and hopefully narrow it down to one of the two this weekend.

The 2.5+ is really the only other one I would consider and may get one to see. I wish GG or Edwin Watts had them in the blue so i could take it back if i didn't want it. I really want the larger top of the 2.5+. That's what has me looking that way. Still love my k1-L0. Looks, straps and balance are great. Tangle isn't that bad but i carry a driver, 3 wood, hybrid, putter (with large grip) and golfstick pro in the top section of the k1 L0 so tangle there is possible. May be with any bag as that's a lot in one area.

i just get disappointed every time I see a 2.5 and try on the straps. May be with a fully loaded bag (it's always been empty floor model) they aren't that bad but compared to the k1-lo or the ez-fit straps on other SM models they leave me dissatisfied.

Anyone have both a 2.5+ and a 3.5 (even better if it’s a 2016)?

Wanted to switch it up recently from using my push cart so threw everything in my 2016 3.5 that’s barely been used. Humped it on a couple of tough courses to walk and it has felt a bit heavy toward the end of the round - weighed it with no contents except the EZ Fit straps that came on it and scale showed 4lb 10oz which seemed a bit heavy. I’m considering a closeout 2.5+ which from reading seems to come in under 3lb.

The Three5 and newer 3.5LS are quite different from one another if I recall. The 3.5LS actually weighs its stated weight. I would recommend buying a 2.5+ and throwing on the EZ Fit straps if you don't like the stock ones. My 2.5+ has been outstanding so far and I'm adapting to having less pockets.

 

I may actually start pushing again on hot days. It doesn't appear that courses will be leaving water coolers out, so I'm going to need to pack a decent size jug to stay hydrated which will add a ton of weight.

Walked 18 today with the TaylorMade LiteTech 3.0 I bought last night and I have nothing but amazing things to say about it. Can speak to the durability obviously but it is vary lite, no club tangle, and the straps are very comfortable. I have been punching my Hoofer all season so far and honestly I think it was easier carrying the LiteTech. It’s been wet here and there’s actually a decent amount of resistance when pushing the cart through wet grass, rough, even dry grass. I even came home and put together an IKEA dresser so you know I had to be energy tank had to be on F! Lol

I used to have a 2.5+, was very light, no club tangle, but the straps were awful. Unfortunately I sold it because it was not great in this respect. Also, the straps kept coming undone.

Interested in the Hoofer Craz-e Lite but worried about the club tangle.

They fixed the straps with the later 2019 bags and moving forward

There is definitely tangle with the crazelite. I also found it would pull the bag forward and start to fold the legs in because of the tangle. If I held the bag upright and pulled the club I wouldn’t have this problem.

That’s right. I bought a solid navy bag so the color contrast isn’t that bad, plus most of my towels are black.

Snagged a Titleist Players StaDri 4 "no logo" bag off Golfdiscount.com for $129!

Was going to get to a PGASS or Golf World, but none are open near me and the strap on my old Ogio is hanging by a thread..

I’ve realized I have too many stand bags that I’ve accumulated over the years. Preferences change from bag to bag but I definitely wasted some money by using an awesome bag for like 1 month and then switching to something else

 

Time to clean out the stash.

Thanks brother, that's what I was thinking but good to confirm as Sun Mountains line is a little convoluted over the past 3-4 years especially when it comes to weight. I picked up a 2019 2.5+ yesterday morning for a steal that was on closeout and just kind of stumbled on it.

Like some others here I have an absurd number of bags. Really need to purge a couple that don't get used much including the 3.5.
